CREATIVE LEARNING At Wiltshire Music Centre we work with schools, communities and families across the county through our Creative Learning Programme. Our year-round participatory projects are designed to develop, enrich and inspire. From working with guest artists to support music education in schools, to developing talented young musicians through the West of England Youth Orchestra and Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra, young people are at the heart of our work. Every year we support:

5,000 children through Creative Learning projects.

Our free My Science Fair (p14) and Big Family Music Day (p34) also provide fun opportunities for young people to get creative and learn about music through workshops and performances.

This year, visiting artists, The Marmen Quartet (p6), Derek Paravicini (p11) and Adriano Adewale (p31) will be helping to deliver Creative Learning projects in schools across the county, enabling young people to experience the joy of creative workshops and the wonder of performance. Through our Creative Learning programme we find innovative ways to make music accessible to everyone. Hit It! delivers web-streamed drumming lessons for young people, whilst Celebrating Age Wiltshire helps older people to enjoy a range of arts activities in their communities. Last year we supported:

837 participants through Celebrating Age Wiltshire events.
