THANK YOU! The Social Supermarket at Rotherham Minster were astounded at the generosity of the Herringthorpe Junior School community when we delivered our Harvest Collection. Thank you so much for supporting this worthy cause. Our donations will help feed those who have found themselves in difficulty. Shaking things up Y3 have been finding out about where our food comes from. This led to a discussion about how butter is made. Y3K were given the challenge of making their own butter… and that they did … lots of it! The children thoroughly enjoyed making the butter however the best bit was sampling their hard work at the end
Diary dates
Space Centre visit Wow! What a profound primary experience Y5 have had at the National Space Centre! From visiting the planetarium and travelling on the ISS and hopping onto our own rocket launch – we have thoroughly enjoyed our day as Astronomers. Coding Y6 have started thinking about lighthouses this week. We have used TinkerCad to design a 3D lighthouse. We haven’t quite finished yet, but have made an excellent start. We are looking forward to finishing these and then looking at how to use coding to support the electronics in our design.

Butterfly House Visit Year 4 have had so much fun at the butterfly house and have learned lots about animals and their habitats.
