county and state government paralleling Wisconsin government. Badger Boys State is possible due to the tireless efforts of over 100 volunteer counselors and staff. Collectively, they bring over 1,200 years of Badger Boys State experience to the 2012 program. Additionally, sponsorship of citizens by many Legion posts, local groups and clubs, as well as individuals, is vital to the success of the program. The 76th session will also continue the tradition of the “Tribute to Veterans” evening program, with many Veterans attending. The Tribute will be held on Friday, June 16th and is dedicated to the history of our nation and the men and women who act to maintain our freedom. The members of the military are the ultimate defenders of the freedoms and rights that we as Americans enjoy every day. The Tribute is designed to raise the awareness among Badger Boys State citizens of the sacrifices many of their relatives had made. The students are urged to recognize them not only as their relatives, but as defenders of our freedoms. For more information about Badger Boys State, visit badgerboysstate.com.
