Grove Historical Society grounds overlooking Ellison Bay, the Honor Circle is the first monument in Door County venerating individual veterans of every era, as well as active-duty personnel. The superstructure of the Military Honor Circle and Heritage Walkway leading to it were completed in November, 2016. As of mid-July, 180 brick pavers had already been donated, inscribed and installed, and more than 100 more will be installed in September. The memorial is in keeping with the Liberty Grove Historical Society’s first priority, which is preservation of the legacy of the people of Door County and their relatives, as well as its historical artifacts.
