The dogs erupted from the woods in a blaze, eager to race back home. The emergence into the wintery glade, frosted with still virgin snow was almost a religious experience for me; the beauty was that intense. Led by Megan, the owner of Kingmik Dogsled Tours I spent the morning exploring the backwoods around Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada from a sled, pulled by loving and able bodied Alaskan Huskies. The run was great, but that magical moment in the glade is the reason I travel.
