Spring into learning with a great choice of short courses. Do something for you, whether it’s to improve your skills or learn something entirely new. This spring we are offering a range of courses, from Creative Sewing to Chemical Peels, DIY Wedding Flowers to British Sign Language and many more - so there’s bound to be something for you. In a bid to beat the cost of living crisis, most courses are free for eligible learners, so what are you waiting for?

There are lots of benefits to improving your life through English and maths.
Each year we transform the lives of hundreds of adults by helping them gain essential skills and qualifications.
With a range of courses, including Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills, we can offer the right pathway for you to improve your skills. Courses are FREE and offered online or in the classroom.
ESOL
Enjoy learning the English language at our successful and popular ESOL department.
We will help you to improve your English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, in classes with students from all over the world.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS ENGLISH
Available at Wigan & Leigh College Centres or community venues across Wigan and Leigh.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS MATHS
Available at Wigan & Leigh College Centres or community venues across Wigan and Leigh.
ESOL - Students must bring the following to enrolment:
• Non-UK nationals must bring Home Office documentation or evidence of settled/pre-settled status (eg biometric residence permit, and in some cases home office documentation).
• Asylum Seekers must have lived in the UK for six months or longer and show evidence (eg ARC Card, BAIL 201, or local authority evidence).
• ARC Card dated beyond six months and post office receipt of support, dated within the month (19+).
