Distinguished Scholarship Invitational:
• Up to $64,000
The Distinguished Scholarship Invitational is one of the area’s most prominent scholarship competitions, including three $64,000 Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships — three of the largest annual undergraduate scholarships in Kansas.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Meet one of the following criteria:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
• Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27, or
• Have a minimum SAT composite of 1280, or

W. Frank Barton School of Business
Allen, Gibbs, and Houlik L.C. Scholarship Competition (AGH):
• Up to $50,000
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Declare a business major
• Meet one of the following criteria:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
• Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27, or
• Have a minimum SAT composite of 1280, or
• Rank in the top 10% of your class at the end of your junior year
Scholarship materials deadline: Nov. 1, 2023
Competition: Nov. 17, 2023
Jabara ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP:
• Up to $32,700
Awards $32,700 to two future entrepreneurs.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Declare an entrepreneurship major
• Meet one of the following criteria:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
• Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27, or
• Have a minimum SAT composite of 1280, or
• Rank in the top 10% of your class at the end of your junior year

Shocker Promise Scholarship for Kansas
Residents: • Four-year scholarship covering up to tuition and fees
Kansas residents from outside of Sedgwick County may be eligible for additional, limited on-campus housing support.
Students must have financial need as demonstrated by family income information determined from the FAFSA. Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those who meet all requirements. If selected as a recipient, smaller previously awarded Wichita State freshmen scholarships will be replaced with the Shocker Promise. The Shocker Promise is a four-year scholarship designed to cover remaining costs associated with your tuition and fees after applying all other gift aid, including waivers, scholarships and grants.
To be eligible you must:
• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
• Be a resident of Kansas at the time of application to Wichita State
• Be eligible for the federal Pell Grant
• Be admitted for fall as a first-time freshman by Feb. 1, 2024 (graduated high school during 2023-2024 academic year)
• Annual family income of $50,000 or less

Dorothy & Bill Cohen Honors College
Acceptance to the Honors College is based on a holistic review of each applicant. While there are no minimum ACT, SAT, or GPA requirements, we consider your scores as part of our review with the greatest emphasis being placed on your essay and resume of involvement and experiences.

Lenora McGregor Endowed Scholarship:
• Up to $26,000
Awards up to $26,000 over four years of study to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated academic excellence and intellectual curiosity.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Submit Cohen Honors College application by Nov. 1, 2023
Koch Scholars Competition:
• $30,000-$45,000
High school seniors are invited to compete for seven Honors College Koch Scholarships worth up to $7,500 each year for in-state tuition, fees, room and board or up to $11,250 for out-of-state students.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Submit Cohen Honors College application by Nov. 1, 2023
• Declare an eligible business or engineering major
Eligible Majors:
Computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, accounting, economics, finance, or management information systems

College of Fine Arts Scholarship:
• Art, music & performance
The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries awards scholarships to incoming students through an online portfolio review process. The priority deadline is Feb. 20 for the following fall semester. For more information, call (316) 978-3555 or visit Wichita.edu/ArtScholarships.
The School of Digital Arts is actively working to develop new scholarship opportunities for our students. Many of our students qualify for scholarships through the Wichita State Merit Scholarship program. As new scholarships are developed, they are awarded based on donor guidelines. The School of Performing Arts awards scholarships through in-person and virtual auditions, interviews, and essay applications throughout the year. SCHOLARSHIP FOR FIRST-GENERATION IMMIGRANT STUDENTS:
• Up to $34,000
An $8,500/year scholarship geared toward first-generation, immigrant students with preference toward DACA or other undocumented students.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Be a graduate from a Kansas high school
• Submit Wichita State admission materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Meet the following:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA
• Submit the Distinguished Scholarship Invitational application by Nov. 1, 2023
• Compete in the Distinguished Scholarship Invitational on Nov. 18, 2023

Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering (WISE):
• $28,500
Each fall, the Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering awards 10 prospective engineering students $28,500 scholarships over four years of study.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
• Be a 2024 high school graduate
• Submit Wichita State application materials by Oct. 15, 2023
• Declare an engineering major
• Meet one of the following criteria:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or

ANNA KATHLEEN WALSH ENGLISH SCHOLARSHIP:

The Walsh Scholarship awards an incoming English major $50,000 over four years of study.

• Meet the following criteria:
• Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
• Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27, or

• Scholarship awarded over four years with eligibility
• Award offers are based on meeting minimum academic criteria
• Dec. 1 priority date for consideration
Honors College Merit Scholarship: $1,000
• $500 a year over two years for incoming freshmen who are fully admitted to Wichita State and to the Wichita State Honors College
• Priority consideration given to incoming freshmen and transfers who are fully admitted to Wichita State and to the Wichita State Honors College by Nov. 1
Wichita State National Merit and National Hispanic Recognition Scholarship Programs: $50,000
• $20,000 for the first year
• $10,000 for each of the next three years
• Good for four years with eligibility
• Students must be a finalist in National Merit or National Hispanic Recognition to be eligible
Transfer Merit Scholarship: $4,000 - $6,000 $2,000 - $3,000 for two years for new, incoming domestic transfer students coming directly to Wichita State from another institution with at least 12 credit hours but fewer than 75 and working on their first bachelor’s degree.
