REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 7, 2024 Recreation Services Manager, Isabella Licciardello Allen ilicciardello@wheelingparkdistrict.com The Wheeling Park District Preschool is guided by the philosophy of “learning through play”. Through activities like art, games, storytelling, cooking, movement and songs, children develop self-control, physical coordination and social skills. Children are exposed to letters, numbers, colors, shapes and readiness skills in an encouraging and nurturing setting. The Wheeling Park District Preschool provides a secure and supportive environment for developing a love for school. The Wheeling Park District Preschool staff are qualified, experienced teachers who pride themselves on creating a warm, sensitive, safe and educational environment. A ratio of one experienced teacher for every eight children is maintained. Teachers keep up-to-date on the latest standards and trends and are always bringing new ideas to their daily classroom activities.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION & CRITERIA
All children must meet the age requirement for the 2024-2025 Preschool program they are being registered for. A complete registration form, up-to-date medical forms and a copy of the child’s birth certificate must be on file prior to the first day of attendance. If not paid in full, Preschool tuition payments will be set up in 9 equal payments with the first installment collected at the time of registration. The first installment payment is non-refundable. The remaining (8) payments are automatically deducted on: August 10, September 10, October 10, November 10, January 10, February 10, and March 10.

MY FIRST PRESCHOOL CLASS PRESCHOOL PREP Must be 2.5 before September 1, 2024 Social learning goes hand in hand with language development, a key task for our busy 2s. We enrich the day with songs, rhymes, stories, activity time, and art projects. This is a great way for children to learn how to be away from their parents and how to play with others. Learning is natural and easy with lots of choices and opportunities to explore. A parent or care-giver will be asked to attend the first day of school only. Students will be given priority registration into our 2025-2026 Preschool Program. Toilet training is required or a parent or care-giver must be available on-site to change the child's diaper. DAY

Athletics SPRING HOUSE SOCCER LEAGUE Location: Heritage Park Soccer Basin Registration Deadline: 3/27 R/NR Fee: $90 / $100 Day: Weekday Practices Weekend Games This structured soccer league gives children the opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer while learning about teamwork and good sportsmanship.
