Ancestral Pot of Gold found as grave of human rights crusader discovered in Brockport by Joanne Michielsen Mike McBride, of Rochester, fully embraces his Irish heritage. So much so that in the pre-COVID era, he could often be found in costume as Eddy the Leprechaun, volunteering his time to entertain seniors in nursing homes and collecting donations for charitable causes with his “pot of gold” outside of bars and restaurants. When Mike began researching his ancestry, he never imagined what he would find and the journey it would take him on. Through his research, Mike discovered a previously unknown great uncle who was a world-famous Irish Freedom Fighter, John Joseph “Exile” McBride. An online search of newspaper archives from 1870 to 1911, turned up over 1,000 articles from across the United States about the storied character who fled Ireland in 1862, at just 19 years old. While caught helping to plan a rebellion against British tyranny, the teen escaped and fled first to France before securing transit to America. He arrived in New York City and then traveled along the Erie Canal, stopping in Brockport. In Brockport, he became involved with the new field of photography. Capturing and selling various images, he was able to save enough money to bring his parents, Matthew and Jane King McBride, and four siblings – Stephen, Patrick, James, and Mary – to America three years later. In 1866, Exile went to Buffalo to join the Fenians, a secret society of Irish patriots who had emigrated from Ireland to the United States. In the historic Battle of Ridgeway, the Fenians attempted to take Canadian territory by force. Since
it was part of the British Commonwealth, they had hoped to return the conquered land, when England gave Ireland its independence. The Fenian invasion proved unsuccessful and Exile was captured and imprisoned in Canada. Bishop John Timon, the first Roman Catholic Bishop of Buffalo, and Congressman Bass helped secure his release. Undeterred, Exile spent the next 40 years of his life passionately traveling throughout the United States, at his own expense, speaking out against British oppression in his homeland. He addressed Congress and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, met with numerous mayors, senators, governors, and four United States presidents – Benjamin Harrison, Grover Cleveland, William McKinley, and Theodore Roosevelt – building support for Irish independence. On his travels, he would also circulate petitions and gather massive numbers of signatures. Acting like an ambassador, on three occasions, Exile sailed to England and met personally with Prime Minister William Gladstone, delivering the petitions signed by tens of thousands of America’s most prominent and powerful citizens. In negotiation efforts, the two developed a rapport, and on his last visit, Exile stayed a week as a guest at Hawarden Castle. Gladstone came to support Home Rule for Ireland and used Exile’s petitions as part of his campaign, but the proposal was defeated in the House of Commons. For over 25 years, Exile promoted his cause as a popular contributor to numerous newspapers. He wrote inspirational columns covering such topics as the importance of having a democracy - where every

Photo by Karen Fien. citizen has freedom, independence, and liberty. He considered these to be essential, God-given rights, which every human being deserved. According to Mike, Exile marveled at the Declaration of Independence. “Over 100 years earlier, the United States also had a serious problem with British tyranny and boldly declared its independence. He was also most appreciative of American civil rights, having lived in British-oppressed Ireland. Some of their laws prohibited freedom to own land, freedom of speech, freedom to vote, freedom to worship, freedom to peaceful protest, freedom to have a trial, etc.” Interestingly, Exile became a wellknown fixture in Washington, D.C., during presidential inaugural parades. Starting in 1865 with Abraham Lincoln’s inaugural, Exile was assigned to walk directly behind the newly-elected president who rode in a horse-drawn carriage. Exile’s death in February 1911 made national news, including the New York Times and Boston Globe. The Buffalo Commercial said, “McBride was a picturesque figure
and familiar to most who frequented the downtown districts…Few characters were more widely known in Buffalo than Mr. McBride. He was also widely known throughout the country.” Exile’s funeral was held at St. Joseph Cathedral in Buffalo and, according to reports, was very well attended. While Exile lived in Buffalo, he considered Brockport his hometown. His siblings remained in the area. His brother Stephen, Mike’s great grandfather, resided on Clinton Street. His mother Jane and brother James lived in Adams Basin, and his sister, Mrs. John (Mary) Carney, in Clarkson. Exile owned property at 10A Salmon Creek Road where he would spend much of his summers. He also helped his elderly, widowed mother with her farm. After his funeral in Buffalo, Exile’s body was returned to his brother Stephen’s home in Brockport. Several articles stated that Exile was given a second funeral at the Church of the Nativity and was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. continued on page 2

Olivet Cemetery. I eagerly planned to visit Exile’s gravesite and then search through his cemetery records at the Church of the Nativity.” Given Exile’s notoriety, Mike said he went to Brockport expecting to find a big bronze statue of his famous ancestor. “I was shocked to discover that there was nothing in Brockport showing that he ever existed!” If there ever was a headstone, perhaps it had been lost to time and the elements. Neither the church nor the cemetery had any record of him. It was incomprehensible. How could there be no trace of someone who was so famous in life? Mike continued to search, hoping that with a little “Luck of the Irish,” he would be able to solve the mystery. He put out pleas for information, both online and in an advertisement in Westside News. Since all of Exile’s family lived in this area, he thought someone, somewhere, might know something. With a bit of perseverance, Mike was able to obtain a copy of Exile’s death certificate, which confirmed that he was, in fact, buried in Brockport. The Church of the Nativity did manage to find some badly yellowed and faded records indicating that Exile was buried in Section H of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The burial record entry, made one day after Exile’s death, partially states, “Sold 1 grave to Estate of John McBride, ‘Exile of Erin,’ on February 10th, 1911.” The discovery was made thanks to

the help of Father Joe McCaffrey, Pamela Gardner, and John Toal. While searching they also discovered that Exile’s mother was buried in the same section of the cemetery in 1901. Exile’s life story reads like an adventure novel, and with the treasure trove of information he has discovered, Mike is now working on writing a biography. “Exile McBride dedicated his entire life as a human rights crusader, promoting the universal message that every human being was entitled to inalienable, God-given rights, such as life, liberty, independence, and freedom,” Mike said. “Exile has now been dead – and until recently forgotten about – for 110 years. However, his noble cause is certainly very much alive and relevant today.” This St. Patrick’s Day, the McBride family will be celebrating their recent discovery of this Ancestral Pot of Gold. Produced in New York youth cooking demonstrations Produced in New York is an experiential cooking program offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County’s 4-H Youth Development Program for 4-H youth between the ages of 5 and 19. It will be held virtually or in person at The Strong Museum of Play on March 20 at 11 a.m. Attendance will be up to the discretion of participants and their family members. Caregivers are expected to stay if the participants require adult support. During Produced in New York, youth will present a silent 30-minute demonstration concurrently with their peers to portray their cooking techniques. They will choose a recipe using an ingredient produced in New York (i.e., apples, corn, tomatoes, etc.). They will be evaluated during their demonstration and on their final product. Evaluators will not be tasting the dishes. Any participants who choose to attend the event in-person are responsible for bringing in and carrying out their own utensils, hotplates, display dishes, and any other ingredients that they will need. This experience will help the participants learn skills to prepare and present cooking techniques for evaluation. This program will help participants develop hands-on experience of food preparation and presentation skills. Participants will also have a chance to learn the importance of organization and time management. The Monroe County 4-H Program is offered through Cornell Cooperative Extension to the youth of Monroe County, ages five to 19, who want to have fun, learn new skills, and explore the world. Louise W. Hunter NORTH CHILI: Louise W. Hunter, 92, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend, passed away peacefully at Unity Hospital on March 3rd, 2021. She was warm and approachable, demonstrating genuine concern and compassion for everyone she met. She had wide-ranging intellectual and cultural curiosity and exhibited respect for all people. Louise also had an undeniable impish side of spunk, determination and unshakable independence, which helped her persevere through hurdles in her life. She valued interpersonal relationships; her close neighbors and friends often viewed her as ‘family’. Her children are grateful for her care in identifying and cultivating their own inherent talents, teaching them to trust their intuition, providing many experiences above and beyond those she had in her own life. Louise is pre-deceased by husband Bob, son Erik, and siblings Bernard, Charles, Ron, Carol and Paul, and survived by siblings Richard, Barbara, Marge and George, children Gregg, Carolyn and Jeanne, and granddaughters Elsa and Greta. Barbara Gauthreaux March 29, 1934 – February 18, 2021
Barbara was born in Brockport, NY to Charlotte and Gordon Breckenridge and raised by her maternal grandmother (Marion Thompson) after her mother’s death in 1935. After graduation from Brockport High School, and then Rochester Business Institute, she worked at Cornell University. Her career led to a move to Tucson, AZ where she met her husband Steve. She and Steve started their family in New Orleans, LA before moving back to her hometown of Brockport to be near her family. There, she provided a wonderful upbringing for her children and made many life-long friends. Nearly 35 years ago, she and Steve moved to Advance, NC where they planted deep roots and developed treasured friendships. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 57 years, Steve; brother, Bill; and beloved family members. She leaves behind her four grateful children, Jack (Sue, children Sarah & Scott) of Grenoble France, Ann (Meribeth, daughter Mamie) of Winston-Salem, NC, Tom of Scottsdale, AZ, and Dan (Wendy, sons JP & Cody) of Hickory, NC. Barbara enjoyed traveling with family and friends, reading, quilting, cross-country skiing, volunteering with Trellis Supportive Care, daily walks with her loyal walking companions, and time with her priceless friends and neighbors. Most of all, Barbara loved time with her husband and children. She will be greatly missed as a devoted mother and grandmother and remembered for her quick wit and humor, warm friendship and welcoming spirit. When it is safe to travel and gather, a memorial service will be held at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church in Clemmons, NC. Sign up for Sweden Dog Park through Monroe County The Town of Sweden’s Dog Park is open 365 days a year, offering a great way to get outside, exercise your dog, and meet fellow dog-owners. Located at 4761 Redman Road, the Sweden Dog Park is part of the Monroe County Dog Park System. One annual registration provides access to the five affiliated dog parks. Registration costs $24 per dog per year ($25 if paying by credit card). Due to COVID-19, registrations must be done through www.monroecounty.gov/ parks-dogparks. The Town of Sweden looks
forward to the time when registrations can be taken in person again. In the meantime, the dog park is a great way for dogs and people to spend time outdoors. Legal NoticeS Legal Notice Brockport Fire District Notice of Resolution The following resolution was adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Brockport Fire District on March 11, 2021. WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6g, the Brockport Fire District did establish the Brockport Communications Equipment Reserve, a Capital Reserve Fund to finance the cost of acquisition of new or used, upgraded, additional, and replacement communications equipment, including base station radios, vehicle radios, portable radios and pagers, for communication purposes for the Brockport Fire District and in addition to assist the Brockport Fire District with the expense and cost of integrating with the new communication system implemented by Monroe County and to assure the Brockport Fire District is in compliance with this new system. WHEREAS, there is a need to replace the 3 Chiefs computer equipment, with their current equipment to be repurposed to Station 2, 3, and 5, where there are no computers and replace one unusable computer for the SCBA Coordinator. Additionally, there is a need to install housing units for the new tablets, in each of the district fire fighting vehicles, and other future expenditures for communication equipment which are part of and necessary for current and future communications for the new communication system implemented by Monroe County and to assure the Brockport Fire District is in compliance with the new system for each of the district fire fighting vehicles. WHEREAS, the above-mentioned acquisition is to be financed from monies in the above-referenced “Brockport Communications Equipment Reserve”, and it is the purpose of said capital reserve fund to fund the acquisition and purchase of such communication equipment, NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Brockport Fire District is hereby authorized to expend from the “Brockport Communications Reserve Fund an amount not to exceed $25,000 for the purpose of acquisition of these laptops and associated equipment, as well as the equipment necessary to be installed in each of the fire fighting vehicles to support the new tablets and, BE IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to a permissive referendum and shall not take effect until 30 days has elapsed after its adoption, or unless approved at a special election of the qualified voters of the Brockport Fire District after a proper petition calling for such special election is filed with the secretary of the Brockport Fire District within the time permitted by law, and subject to the successful passage of the resolution to transfer to the Brockport Fire District Communication Reserve fund the sum not to exceed $100,000.00 for the purposes set forth herein. The adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly put to a vote and upon roll call the vote was as follows:

Legal Notice Brockport Fire District Notice of Resolution The following resolution was adopted by the Brockport Board of Fire Commissioners subject to a permissive referendum on March 11, 2021. Resolution to transfer from the Brockport Buildings and Facilities Capital Reserve Fund monies to the Brockport Communication Equipment Reserve fund for the acquisition of additional communication equipment needed by the Fire District. WHEREAS, that pursuant to §6-g of the General Municipal Law, the Brockport Fire District did establish the “ Brockport Building and Facilities Capital Reserve Fund” , a capital reserve fund to finance all or part of the cost of acquisition of the construction, reconstruction, remodeling, refurbishment, acquisition or upgrading of existing fire district buildings or facilities, and WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6g, the Brockport Fire District did establish the Brockport Communications Equipment Reserve, a capital reserve fund to finance the cost of acquisition of new or used, upgraded, additional, and replacement communications equipment, including base station radios, vehicle radios, portable radios and pagers, for communication purposes for the Brockport Fire District and in addition to assist the Brockport Fire District with the expense and cost of integrating with the new communication system implemented by Monroe County and to assure the Brockport Fire District is in compliance with this new system, and WHEARAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6g, the board of fire commissioners is authorized the transfer to the credit of another capital reserve fund of such fire district all or part of the unexpended balance remaining in a fund established pursuant to this section for a specific item or specific items of equipment which have not been acquired or a specific capital improvement which has not been completed or acquired, or remaining in a fund established pursuant to this section for a type of capital improvement or a type of equipment.
WHEARAS, the fire District needs to transfer to the Brockport Communication Equipment Reserve fund monies necessary to acquire communication equipment from the Brockport Buildings and Facilities Capital Reserve Fund in an amount not to exceed the sum of $100,000.000 that is unexpended and can be transferred to the Brockport Communication Equipment Capital Reserve Fund for acquisition of certain communication equipment. WHEARAS, after this resolution the fire district will make a resolution authorizing the expenditure from the Brockport Fire District Communication reserve fund such sums necessary to acquire such communication equipment as set forth therein. NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Brockport Fire District is hereby authorized to transfer from the Buildings and Facilities Capital Reserve Fund, an amount not to exceed $100,000, to the Brockport Communication Reserve Fund for expenditures as therein provided, and it is. FURTHER RESOLVED, this resolution was thereupon duly declared to have been adopted, and the expenditure is hereby authorized, subject to a permissive referendum, and shall not take effect until 30 days has elapsed after its adoption, or unless approved at a special election of the qualified voters of the Brockport Fire District after a proper petition calling for such special election is filed with the Secretary of the Brockport Fire District within the time permitted by law. The Erie Canal For almost 200 years, the Erie Canal has been a fixture of not only our community but all of upstate New York. Since Governor DeWitt Clinton authorized its construction in the early 1800s, the Erie Canal has been a driver of New York State’s economic, agricultural, industrial, and, more recently, recreational growth and success. In our community, we see the impact of the canal each and every day, as it serves as a gathering place, a landmark, and a hub for economic activity. In the Village of Brockport, there have been successful efforts through the years to bolster the local economy and preserve history through projects and updates. These updates have included the Welcome Center, where we gather for the Summer Serenades music series, and just recently, the village received an IMPACT grant to preserve and showcase canal heritage by refurbishing or creating interpretive materials to better share the story of the Erie Canal, focusing on the canal’s role in the village’s past, present, and future. The economic, educational, and recreational importance of the canal stretches far beyond our area, running through over 200 unique landscapes and communities. I saw firsthand while participating in “Cycle the Erie Canal Bike Tour” in 2016 what the canal means to many communities like ours. In the beginning of February 2021, a network of canalaffiliated organizations, business owners, and residents who utilize the canal were warned of potential cuts of daily operating hours and cutting weeks off the navigation season. This comes after the past several years, specifically since 2015, that the Erie Canal has undergone small, measured cuts to its navigational season length and the daily operating hours of some services such as lift bridge and lock operation. Millions of tourists and residents, hundreds of businesses, and dozens of municipalities rely on the more than $1.4 billion of revenue generated from commercial activities, festivals, and events along the entirety of the New York State Canal System. According to a 2019 report by the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, the Erie Canal attracts 1.2 million visitors annually, generating $788 million in direct sales revenue to local businesses and municipalities. Cuts of the magnitude being circulated would have dealt a devastating blow to small businesses and the upstate economy. After gathering the facts, I had several conversations with state, county, and local leaders, businesses, and tourist organizations to discuss these proposals. In addition, I had the opportunity to advocate to a representative from the New York Power Authority (NYPA), the state organization that oversees the operation of the Erie Canal, calling for there to be no changes to the operating season. At the conclusion of these conversations, NYPA confirmed that no changes were going to be made from the 2019 season’s operating hours or navigation season, and the canal will operate from mid-May through mid-October. The NYPA President and CEO confirmed this in a letter printed last month by Westside News titled “New York State Canal Corporation issues opening statement.” I will continue to advocate for our community to ensure that the Erie Canal continues to be an asset and resource for our community. § 259-1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated: RECREATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLE Expressly limited to “off road” vehicles such as minibikes, trail bikes, motor scooters, dune buggies and swamp buggies and any other similar motor vehicle of the type that is normally used on land for recreation, entertainment, or pleasure. The use of the lawn mower, powered garden vehicles, other similar utilitarian domestic vehicles and vehicles required to be registered with the DMV are specifically excepted here from. § 259-2 Purpose. It is the purpose of this chapter to preserve and promote the health, safety and general welfare of those inhabitants of the Village of Hilton who wish to use and operate Recreational Motor Vehicles on private property or municipal property. It is also the purpose of this chapter to prevent those inhabitants of the Village of Hilton who wish to use and operate Recreational Motor Vehicles from trespassing on public or private property in the village of Hilton, from annoying inhabitants and from creating a public nuisance. § 259-3 Prohibitions It shall be unlawful to operate or for the owner to permit the operation of any Recreational Motor Vehicle as defined in §259-1. A. On the private property of another without the express prior written consent of the owner and the occupant of said property. Such consent may be revoked at any time by the granter thereof. Where such express prior written consent has been obtained, the operator or person at the site responsible for such operation shall keep said consent on his person and available for immediate display at all times during the period of such operation. Excepted from the operation of this subsection are any private clubs or other organizations that permit the operation of Recreational Motor Vehicles on their property in connection with the principal use of said property by members of such club or organization. B. On any public grounds or property, including Village-owned land, which shall include but not be limited to parks; ball parks; recreation areas; Village-owned streets, easements and sidewalks or areas dedicated to or commonly used for vehicular or pedestrian traffic; Village storage facilities; garage areas; and Board of Education lands, unless specifically designated, set aside and reserved therefor by resolution of the Village Board. C. In such manner as to create loud or unnecessary noise so as to unnecessarily disturb or interfere with persons in the peaceful and quiet enjoyment of their property. To this end, no person shall operate a Recreational Motor Vehicle before the hour of 9:00 a.m. and after one hour before sundown or 7:00 p.m., whichever is earlier. D. In a careless, reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the safety or property of any person. E. While in an intoxicated condition or under the influence of narcotics or drugs as defined by §1194 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. § 259-4 Enforcement: The Monroe County Sheriff ’s Department and /or any Law Enforcement Officer with jurisdiction in the Village of Hilton. § 259-5 Confiscation of vehicles: Any member of the Monroe County Sheriff ’s Department or any other law enforcement officer who shall encounter any person operating a Recreational Motor Vehicle or conveyance in violation of this chapter, or if the vehicle is operated by an individual under 16 years of age, or the Sheriff ’s deputy is unable to determine the owner of the vehicle or notify the owner of the vehicle, is authorized to impound said vehicle or conveyance to a place designated by the Monroe County Sheriff ’s Department or his designee. The owner or duly designated agent of the owner of such vehicle or conveyance may regain the same upon the payment of all expenses and charges necessarily and actually incurred by the removal and/or storage of said vehicle or conveyance.

Legal Notice Brockport Fire District Notice of Resolution The following resolution was adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Brockport Fire District on March 11, 2021. Resolution to expend from the Brockport Vehicle and Equipment Reserve Fund monies for the acquisition of a new Hurst eDraulic SC358E2 Combination Tool (Jaws of Life) WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6-g, the Brockport Fire District (Fire District), Towns of Sweden and Clarkson, County of Monroe, State of New York, did establish the “Brockport Vehicle and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund” a capital reserve fund to finance all or part of the cost of acquisition of firefighting equipment, apparatus and certain vehicles needed by the Fire District. WHEREAS, there is a need to add an additional piece of equipment (Hurst eDraulic SC358E2 Combination Tool “Jaws of Life”) to be housed on squad 2328 to respond to various calls within the district which may require having this equipment available for extrications. WHEREAS, the above-mentioned acquisition is to be financed from monies in the above-referenced “Brockport Vehicle and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund”, and it is the purpose of said capital reserve fund to fund the acquisition and purchase of such equipment, apparatus and certain vehicles by the Fire District;
§ 259-6 Penalties for offenses.
NOW BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Brockport Fire District is hereby authorized to expend from the “Brockport Vehicle and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund” an amount not to exceed $15,000 for the purpose of acquisition of this new Hurst eDraulic SC358E2 Combination Tool and;
A. Any person, firm or corporation violating or permitting the violation of any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 or to imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Any person of the age of 18 years or over, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not to exceed $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both the case of a second or subsequent violation
BE IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is subject to a permissive referendum and shall not take effect until 30 days has elapsed after its adoption, or unless approved at a special election of the qualified voters of the Brockport Fire District after a proper petition calling for such special election is filed with the secretary of the Brockport Fire District within the time permitted by law. The adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly put to a vote and upon roll call the vote was as follows:

In addition, any and all persons, firms or corporations violating or permitting a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or omitting or refusing to do any act required by this chapter shall severally, for each and every violation and noncompliance respectively, be liable for a civil penalty of $50. The imposition of all penalties for any violation of this chapter shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue. The application of the above penalties or the provisions of this chapter shall not be held to prevent the enforcement of this chapter by other action.

Town of Parma Justice swears in Peace Officers In February, the Town of Parma conducted its annual swearing-in of Peace Officers. They are members of the Parma Special Police Department, an all-volunteer organization that operates under continuing recruitment. Each year the Town Board re-appoints its’ employees and officials. Upon being hired, each employee signs an Oath of Affirmation. In addition to four of the seven existing officers being sworn in, the Honorable Judge Michael Sciortino also swore in one new officer who will be attending the Academy for NYS Peace Officers, being held at the Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility later this month.
New offerings at Chili church’s Little Free Library The Little Free Library at the First Presbyterian Church of Chili has replenished its shelves with some new books for the month of March. There are many Mercer Mayer children’s books on its shelves, including Just Me and my Babysitter, Just for You, Just Going to the Dentist, and more. There are also some picture books about spring and Easter. Adults might enjoy passing time with several new knitting books and novels by familiar authors such as Nora Roberts, Nicholas Sparks, William Kent Krueger, and Sidney Sheldon. Spencerport mourns Fire Commissioner Resch Spencerport Fire District Commissioner and Chairman David Resch died suddenly during an incident involving his private vehicle on Gillett Road on the evening of March 4, 2021. Ogden Police are investigating, but preliminary reports are that Commissioner Resch suffered a medical emergency while driving home following a Board of Commissioners meeting held earlier that evening. Spencerport Fire District Chief Tom Clark issued the following statement: “On behalf of the entire Spencerport Fire District organization, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Commissioner Resch. We also appreciate the quick response and partnerDavid Resch ship of the Ogden Police Department and Gates Volunteer Ambulance Service during the incident. We would also like to thank the staff at Unity Hospital for their professionalism and care.
