Kirk Stauffer, PGA Life Member, from Bradford, PA, won the WNYPGA Western New York Classic at Lake View Country Club with a 4 under par 68. Dwayne Randall, Bartlett CC, was 2 nd with 70 and Rob Horak, Shadow Pines GC & Pat Damore, Lakewood GC was ties for 3 rd with 71. Stauffer was also the winner of the Senior Division. Rob Horak, Shadow Pines GC , was 2 nd with 71 and Tim Fries, Glen Oak GC was 3rd with 72. Bobby Hogan, River Oaks GC won the Super Senior Division with 75 and Jim Mrva, PGA Life Member was 2nd with 80. 2020 WNY Classic Honoree—Mike Judy, PGA
Mike Judy, PGA will be the 43rd WNYPGA Professional to be named the WNY Classic Honoree (former Rochester Classic) at this year’s tournament. Mike will join the likes of numerous influential PGA Professionals including national PGA Professional Award Winners, Craig Harmon and Jim Mrva. The award is intended to honor a PGA Professional that has given so much back to the game of golf, his/her club, and the community. Mike is a true gentleman and advocate of the PGA brand and his fellow PGA Professionals. He has always supported fellow host pro-am PGA Professionals and given his time and talents to the local community. Mike was elected to PGA Membership in 1987 and has been a Member of the WNYPGA Section ever since. Judy served as Head PGA Professional at Wild Wood CC, Clifton Springs CC, Braemar CC and Holley Brook GC throughout his career and also in different roles for Taylormade and Dick's Sporting Goods. Currently, Mike still spends his time teaching at Wild Wood CC utilizing his philosophy of keeping it simple (KISS Method). Mike was always been an active playing Member and also served on the Section Tournament Committee. Congratulations Mike!
