Approximately 300 PGA Professionals and Associates serving over 100 golf facilities across Western NY. Section covers twenty-one counties throughout Buffalo, Rochester and Northwest Pennsylvania. Also operates PGA REACH WNY Foundation, a 501 c(3) that supports a robust junior program, veterans and diverse populations. Close affiliation with PGA of America as well as clubs and professionals that help us to create custom partnerships.

Section History WESTERN NY PGA HISTORY When the PGA of America was formed right here in New York in 1916, they never dreamed of one day the Association they were creating would grow to 29,000 PGA Members and Associates Nationwide. At the very forefront of the PGA of America both then and today, is the Western New York Section. The PGA of America is divided into 41 Geographical Sections across the United States. The leadership, passion, professionalism and quality that has become synonymous with the Western New York Section PGA Programs elevate the Association to a position of prominence both in the local golf community and its national counterparts. For the Western New York PGA Professional, “Growing the Game� is a commitment day-in and day-out. The PGA REACH WNY Foundation is our vehicle to carry out the mission to promote the goodwill and growth of the game of golf by positively impacting the lives of junior golfers, veterans, and those who are underserved by the game. We accomplish this by focusing our efforts under three founding pillars: Youth Golf, Military, and Diversity and Inclusion. Much of the success of the PGA and its Foundation is due to its location in the golfing community. With Rochester in our backyard, we have had the great fortune of helping to conduct numerous US Opens, PGA Championships, Senior PGA Championships and a Ryder Cup at Oak Hill Country Club. The next seven years are going to be an exciting time for golf in the Western New York Section as Oak Hill will play host to the 2019 Senior PGA Championship and the 2023 PGA Championship. In addition to that, the Western New York Section will celebrate its centennial in 2025. As a not-for-profit organization, the Western New York Section is proud to continue to partner with some of the most influential and community oriented companies in the region. Our partnerships not only allow us to grow our community initiatives such as PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), and our junior golf programs; but they also help to promote the various tournaments that our PGA Professionals participate in. In return, our partners receive valuable, direct exposure to hundreds of PGA Professionals, juniors, amateur golfers, veterans, families, and influential individuals throughout the Western New York area golf community.

Junior Tour History In 1999 The WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour was formed by local PGA Professionals to provide an opportunity and atmosphere for juniors to enjoy the camaraderie, friendship, and sportsmanship of competitive golf at a series of premier venues throughout the Western New York Section of the PGA of America. Since the conception of The WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour, it has grown from 10 annual events to the current schedule of 34 events. Annually the membership is between 200 – 250 junior golfers that play approximately 2,000 rounds of competitive golf. Since 1999 it has had over 4,000 members and over 20,000 rounds! It is recognized by the American Junior Golf Association and Junior Golf Scoreboard the leading Junior Golf organizations in the country. The WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour is the leader; most recognized and respected Junior Golf Competition in Western New York and we will continue to improve “The WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour Experience”. The WNYPGA Section is Most Proud of the fact that we have touched the lives of so many young ladies and gentlemen over the past 18 years. Through the Game of Golf we have instilled the life skills of honesty, integrity, competitiveness and camaraderie. In 2016, one of our past WNYPGA Junior Golf Tour Member’s Dominic Bozelli won a Web.com event and gained full exemption to the 2017 PGA Tour! The WNYPGA is committed to Growing the Game of Golf and takes pride in supplying numerous vehicles throughout the section for this cause.

2019 Senior PGA Champ 2019 Senior PGA Championship Opportunity The PGA of America announced that Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford, New York, will host the 80th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in 2019. The most historic and prestigious championship in senior golf will be played for a second time on Oak Hill’s historic East Course, which was designed by Donald Ross in 1925. In 2019, we will have an opportunity for companies to donate $2,000 to the PGA REACH WNY Foundation; charitable arm of the Western New York Section. With this donation you will be afforded the opportunity to play a Championship Venue the day after the Championship Proper! Total package includes—

Investment Mass Mutual Financial Investment Package The Western New York Section of the PGA of America is poised to deliver a slate of benefits that could not be purchased otherwise. Our dedication to our craft and professional expertise of our PGA Members position the WNYPGA to provide a valuable and memorable experience well worth the investment. The following proposal gives Mass Mutual the opportunity to get in front of potentially close to 300 Individuals between the ages of 10-23, as well as their parents and grandparents. It also affords the opportunity to entertain clients at the 2019 Senior PGA Championship both as a fan and a player. Finally, we are happy to provide even more recognition to Mass Mutual with branding on-site at our new Professional Offices in East Amherst, NY—one of the most affluential towns in Western NY.
