WSI : You shoot film and use a darkroom, how did you get into shooting film? Is there a film revival going on in photography in general?

RJ : I started taking pictures when, at ten years old, my Mom gave me a film camera, showed me how to use it. Alltogether there’s over 45 film cameras in my room right now, and they all work. I like to experiment.

I just love the way film looks, it doesn’t need editing. And I would say there is a little film revival going on in photography right now, I’ve seen it being used a lot more often lately.

WSI : Using Flickr, DeviantArt, Facebook etc, Has using social networks helped you as an artist? Why/How? RJ : I would say so, yes. Different people like different things and it’s interesting to see who likes what. Feedback has obviously helped me as an artist, and even though I don’t like everything everyone says to me, it’s all helpful.
