Cedars Hall
Our world-class performing arts and recital venue seats up to 350 people in its main recital hall. It is an ideal venue for lectures, conferences, breakfasts and dinners, as well as concerts, and includes an inbuilt projector and screen, flexible staging and state-of the-art AV facilities. In addition to Eavis Hall, The John Baxter Foyer is a light and airy space ideal for informal performances, drinks receptions or as an exhibition space. The hall also features a fully licensed bar.
Quilter Hall
Situated opposite Wells Cathedral and close to the centre of Wells, Quilter Hall is a 14th Century building which was once used as a library. This unusual space has oodles of atmosphere and can be laid out for an audience of up to 100 people for lectures, small music recitals and talks - and is an ideal space for receptions or small parties. We can provide PA and AV equipment if required and there is a Steinway piano available. Quilter Hall can also be used for break-out sessions from a main conference or event being held at one of our other venues.
Cedars House
This elegant former stately home contains two adjoining rooms which are ideal for small functions or meetings. The largest room, Cedars Drawing Room can host dinner parties of up to 30, cocktail parties or receptions of around 60 and can be configured as a space for meetings - it also contains a Steinway piano for intimate performances. The adjoining Cedars Morning Room contains can also be used for small meetings. Both rooms can be hired, individually or together, as part of a package of venue hire, or as a separate booking.
The Cook Building
The building has a large room on the first floor that can be used as ameeting room or break-out venue with a capacity of 100 people seated. It has AV equipment and can be laid out in different configurations.
Ritchie Hall
Is a theatre with a raised stage for an audience of up to 100 people. This versatile space can be used for a drama performance, a lecture or a talk and can be set up in many different ways.
Our sports pavilion overlooks the awardwinning cricket square and field. It can hold up to 25 people seated around a table and up to 40 standing for a reception. There is a small bar and kitchen area for catering purposes.

Our eight boarding houses are a mix of medieval and 18th century buildings. Whilst each of the houses is gifted with quirky and unique qualities befitting historic houses, they all have the modern conveniences - with between 20 to 30 beds each. Every boarding house has a garden and WiFi. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be part of your package and packed lunched are available for days out.

We are 40 minutes from Bath, 35 minutes from Bristol Airport and 30 minutes from Castle Cary station.
From London
Leave the M4 Motorway at Junction 19 (M32). In Bristol, follow signs for Wells A37.
From the South West
Leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 23 and join the A39 eastwards, following signs for Wells.
From the West Midlands
Leave the M5 Motorway at Junction 20 and take the M4 eastwards. Leave the motorway at Junction 19 (M32). In Bristol, and follow the signs for Wells A37.
