Product Overview Introduction The Rig Logistics Management system (RLM) has been developed based on best practices identified by the drilling department in A/S Norske Shell, and offers a complete and cost saving solution to the many challenges of handling the logistics in offshore operations. The system is designed to operate in integrated operations between independent entities, involving all the participants in the Supply Chain. During development and testing we have worked closely with experienced logistics coordinators, supply base coordinators, well engineers, drilling supervisors, cost controllers and vendors. Continuous feedback provided by the users has Well Operation Lifecycle Management led to multiple improvements and user-足friendly interfaces. Flinke Folk AS is the sole owner of the Intellectual Property of the program code and the marketing rights for the total system.The system is meant to operate as Integrated Operations between independent juristic entities (I.e. companies).

Web-based and Secure The entire system is built using robust Microsoft.NET web standards ensuring a reliable, high quality and secure framework for your data and your logistics operations. We know by experience that once you implement our logistics solution and finally gain complete control of all equipment in transport to/ from your vendors, supply bases and rigs, it will become outmost important that the system is error free and available 24/7, 365 days a year. After over 3 years in development, testing and actual operation at A/S Norske Shell we are confident and proud to say we can now deliver on those promises. Being web-based drives down both our costs of development and the implementation for customers. There is no software installation and the system is immediately available to all vendors, supply bases and rigs once the Rig Logistics server is deployed. Through our Rig Replication Solution it is also possible to have the system available offshore during potential network failures. The system, all data and the connection between the clients and server is secured using industry standard, highgrade 256 bit SSL encryption. Access to the system is based on our Access Control module providing entry to selected parts of the system to specific people and/or roles. A wide selection of backup solutions is available per the customer needs.
The Motivation The logistics involved in drilling operations have for many years lacked the attention it deserves, possibly missing out on cost reduction through logistics optimization, and improved management of rental costs. It was this realization that made the Wells department in A/S Norske Shell inquire our software engineers for a complete logistics solution especially tailored for the wells and drilling industry. One of the main goals of the system is to integrate operations and involve all parties such as vendors, well engineers, logistics coordinators, cost controllers, Q/A personell, and supply base and rig coordinators. In order to make the solution satisfy the diverse requirements of all these roles, and to reflect the complex reality of material movement, we have worked closely with the wells department, management and vendors while building the system. It is our view that good communication, proper control of the logistics operations and the participation of all entities is critical for running safe and successful operations on schedule. Our goal is to be the chosen supplier for a solution to these challenges and to provide the absolute best logistics system for the wells and drilling industry, worldwide.
