Cycle 45

Cycle 45 is a wonderful 45 minute spin class that works your quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, hips and even some of your core. These classes will help burn a tremendous amount of calories—No worries about being last because in this class you all finish together! Drop in and Spin! Fitness Coupons may be used in the Cycle 45 classes, if class has not reached maximum of 10 in attendance. All cycle classes will be located in Studio C.

Fit Camp A healthy, active lifestyle is key to achieving balance in all aspects of our well being! Fit Camp is designed to give you a high intensity workout that will touch on these key areas of fitness: cardio, core, toning, strengthening & flexibility. If your schedule is too busy to take a fitness session without worrying about missing classes, buy Fitness Coupons! Coupons are available for Fitness classes on pages 3 and 4. Valid for one 30 to 60 minute class, from September 26th through December 23rd.

Price is $4 each, sold at the WRC. Senior Fitness coupons are $2 each.

AGE REQUIREMENT All children that are in middle school through 14 years of age must workout with parent/guardian 18 years of age and older.

Have a Certified Personal Trainer design your personal plan for success! Sessions address specific weight loss, rehabilitation, and general fitness goals. Fitness Assessments are $20 for Members and $15 for Students.

Youth Volleyball League

This is a traveling league that is played on Saturdays. This league helps players develop skills and gives them added experience before they reach middle school and high school. PLEASE SIGN UP BY THE DEADLINE, YOU COULD BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST UNTIL A NEW TEAM CAN BE FORMED.

Youth Flag Football Youth Flag Football is back again this year! This sport is great for those who are not quite ready for tackle football or are just starting to play football. League consists of playing games with Caldwell and South Haven. There will be two separate age divisions, 6-8 year olds and 9-12 year olds. This sport is open to both boys and girls!

NFL Punt, Pass & Kick This is a FREE event. The NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick creates a lively and engaging forum for boys and girls ages 6-15 to compete against others their age. Boys and girls will compete separately from each other. PPK is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the FUN side of football. All participants must provide a birth certificate and parents must sign a waiver at registration. The age determination date is Dec. 31st, 2016.

Open Gym Open gym will be available to youth and adults with plenty of basketball goals. Individuals will be able to shoot hoops while half or full court games are played. Gather friends or team members to enjoy the game of basketball. Supervision and balls are provided. Kids younger than Middle School must have an adult with them.

Basketball Turkey Shoot

Little Hoopers Basketball Camp

Youth players registered in this fun and exciting program will be taught the basic and beginning fundamentals that it takes to play basketball. Instruction will be given on the 8’ goals and junior School’s Out so we are planning a trip to Graffiti Paintball this sized balls will be used for proper shooting development and ball fall! Players may use their own equipment, but must buy painthandling skills. Participants may wear shorts or sweats and balls at the course, $5 for 500 paintballs. Find camouflage, wear long sleeves, tell your friends and get ready to must wear court shoes. Days: Saturdays, January 7th—January 28th go!

Paintball Trip

PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF REGISTRATION DEADLINES. It is important that parents sign their children up for activities by the registration deadline. It helps us out greatly since much of the planning for our sports leagues depends heavily on the deadlines including determining the number of teams and coaches needed, scheduling games, and getting shirts ordered in a timely manner. Teams sizes are limited, so your child may be placed on a waiting list until a new team can be formed. So please be mindful of upcoming registration deadlines, we appreciate it!


Adults can have fun too with the Wellington Recreation Commission! Playing in our adult sports leagues can be a great way to meet new people, stay active, and have fun! Additional information on our leagues is available at the WRC and at our website: www.wellingtonrec.com

Adult Leagues are for individuals 16 years of age and over (anyone under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian). Rosters and payment is to be turned in the WRC office by the registration deadline, unless other arrangements have been made with the Sports Director. Men’s Flag Football–This is a 5 on 5 league. Games are held on Sunday afternoons. Paint Your Art Out Whether you are new to painting or have attended a painting class before, share a fun evening expressing your artistic abilities in Paint Your Art Out! We will walk you through step by step in a fun, laid back environment. It’s fun and stress-free and a great way to meet new and old friends. You will complete canvas acrylic painting in class. Check out Wellington Recreation Facebook to see paintings two weeks in advance of classes. Students taking Paint Your Art Out may use the child care service, Kidz wRECking Tyme on page 5 to watch their children during class!

Birthday Parties All parties are 1 1/2 hours and include 1 coordinator to set up, help during party and clean up! A $25 deposit is required at time of booking birthday rental. *The Games: $45.00, up to 25 children. Includes use of game room area. Other booking information … Additional Party Information: All fees must be paid at least 3 days before the requested date to avoid cancellation and forfeiture of deposit. Times available are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise approved by the WRC. Availability is subject to change and is at the WRC’s discretion. There will be an additional $10 cleaning fee for all participants who request to bring in their own approved cake and refreshments. A WRC Rental form must be completed on ALL party requests. Questions? Call the WRC at 620-326-3323. Cakes are either white or chocolate and come in 1/4 or 1/2 sheet sizes. 1/4 sheet cake is $25.00 and 1/2 is $30.00. Building Rentals The Recreation Center and Armory may be reserved and rented. Contact the WRC for more information on additional options, deposits and to pick up a rental packet. Please note that a Facility Rental Application must be returned along with the applicable deposit before we can reserve your date on our calendars. For your convenience you may download a Rental Form online at wellingtonrec.com for the facilities listed on this page. Forms are located under WRC Services. To guarantee availability of building and personnel, a facility deposit is required before we can reserve your date on our calendar.

Program Policies Children Attending Class: Due to lack of proper supervision, children are not allowed to attend adult classes with their parents. Kidz wRECing Tyme, (child care program) on page 5 may be used if class time takes place from 5:30-8:30 pm, Monday-Thursday. Make-ups: If a program meeting is missed because of reasons beyond the control of the WRC, it will not be made up. If an individual misses a program meeting, he or she may not make up the missed class by attending a similar meeting at a different time. Refunds: In the case where equipment or uniforms have been ordered for registration, the cost of the equipment or uniforms will not be refunded. A complete refund will be given if the class is cancelled by the WRC. No refund will be given if persons fail to request a refund prior to the start of the class. When a refund is issued a $3.00 service charge will be assessed. Cancellations: The WRC reserves the right to cancel any program due to low enrollments, etc. Registered participants will receive appropriate refunds, or they will receive a credit to their account. Photographs: The WRC takes photographs of people enjoying programs, aquatics or special events. They are used at WRC’s discretion and become its sole property. Program Scholarships The Wellington Recreation Commission provides program scholarships for families with children 18 years and younger, in need due to economic hardship. The scholarship policy reduces certain fees and charges on WRC programs. Please inquire about scholarships at the WRC office.
