The news of the devastating earthquakes in Haiti and Chile earlier this year touched many members in the wider Wellesley community. It galvanized many into action. A few lived through the quakes, or spent days waiting for word from family and friends. In this special package, alumnae, students, and faculty who have close personal and professional ties to the events in Haiti and Chile—from humanitarians to scientists—share insights on the disasters and what lies ahead for both regions.
