Friends of Civic Arts Education Foundation

Your Donation Dollars at Work: The Friends of CAE Foundation has provided over 500 children and adults with scholarships for performing and visual art classes. The positive impact on families and individuals who otherwise would not be able to participate because of financial need is considerable. This access is made possible through the generous donation of community leaders, donors and patrons like you. In addition to scholarships, the foundation is focused on program support such as the recent procurement of six pianos, installation of donated sprung floors for the dance program, and support for an elite jazz band education clinic. In addition, the foundation has launched a merit scholar program.

“We hope the students who go through our programs will have a lifelong appreciation of the arts.”

CAE Instructor

Best of the Best Awarded In Music Scholar Program In honor of kathy nelson’s retirement The Friends Of CAE Foundation has named this inaugural scholarship program in honor of Kathy Nelson, retired CAE Program Manager for her lifetime commitment to the Civic Arts Education program. Four merit scholars in music were announced in late May. Each scholar received a $250 award to be used within the CAE program. Students were judged based on level-appropriate technique as determined by an impartial professional in the music industry. See website for merit scholar announcements. The Friends of Civic Arts Foundation will in the future be growing the merit scholar program within performance, dance, and other arts categories in an effort to celebrate all branches of the Civic Arts Education programs.
