Jewelry Design & Construction (Beg/Int) Emphasis on building basic/intermediate knowledge of jewelry design and construction. Beginners will design their own jewelry and construct pieces using fundamental techniques of soldering, sawing, filing, finishing, and basic bezel setting. Lectures, demos, and handouts provide basis of any techniques needed.

Mixed Metal Jewelry from Metal Clay Learn different possibilities for combining copper, bronze and steel clay in a single piece of jewelry. Make two types of pieces: one that combines copper and steel clay and combining copper and bronze clay. Learn draping, overlay, inlay of copper in bronze and bronze in copper, wraparound and hot riveting. Time will be dedicated to post firing finishing techniques of how to achieve a smooth matte finish, as well as the appearance of married metals. No previous experience necessary.
