McHaney should compete at defensive end role with Johnell Thomas, Walker May and Kyle Woestmann among others. 2010 McHaney's production as a redshirt freshman was limited by injuries... Saw action in five games, missing multiple encounters at the start and finish of the season... As a reserve DE, was credited with one tackle on the season... That stop vs. Kentucky resulted in tackle for loss. 2009 McHaney was a hard worker in the weight room during his first year on campus... Showed athleticism at defensive end on scout teams during redshirt campaign... Named team's top defensive scout for practice effort during the week of LSU game. H Country Day School ENTERING PRESEASON CAMP After missing all of the 2010 season and much of two previous campaigns, Monahan looks to enjoy a full year in 2011. The Commodore offense could use the services of the rangy Monahan who has proven to be a dependable receiving option. He will compete with All-SEC performer Brandon Barden at the tight end position. 2010 Injuries continued to halt Monahan's career last year... Expected to share tight end duties with Brandon Barden, Monahan missed the entire season after suffering an injury. 2009 Started season as key contributor at tight end before leg injury ended season prematurely for second consecutive season... Played in seven games, earning starts against Western Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss and

Army... Knee injury suffered against Georgia required season-ending surgery... Set single-season highs with 10 receptions and 92 receiving yards... Posted reception high (3) against Western Carolina and LSU. 2008 Monahan was a starter and key offensive contributor early in the season until a shoulder injury at Ole Miss ended his season prematurely... Started at TE/DE for 7-1 Big Blue that lost in New England Prep School Athletic Conference championship to Salisbury... As TE, hauled in 36 receptions for 536 yards and seven TDs... At Charlotte Country Day, caught 48 passes for 896 yards and 14 TDs as senior, earning invite to play in Shriners Bowl of the Carolinas... Helped Charlotte school to 2004 state title...
