A probable starter at wide receiver, Umoh needs to build more strength and exhibit surer hands as aerial target. Perhaps surprisingly due to his frame, Umoh ranks among the Commodores' top blockers among its receiving corps. 2009 Enjoyed best season in Commodore uniform as redshirt sophomore, earning starts in 11 of 12 games at wide receiver... Regarded as one of top blockers from receiver position and extremely productive on punt coverage units... Set career highs with 20 receptions and 267 receiving yards... Ranked third on team in catches and posted 13.4-yard per catch average, tops among wide receivers... Notched five catches for 95 yards in victory over Rice... 2010 PROSPECTS The 'Dores' lone true fullback, van Rensburg is a powerful blocker who is likely to see expanded duties in the Commodores' red-zone opportunities. Van Rensburg is also one of the team's most valuable special teams contributors, seeing time on return and coverage units. 2009 Played in every game as redshirt sophomore, contributing as the team's primary fullback and on special teams... Used frequently as blocker in short yardage situations, but did post one catch- a 2-yarder for touchdown in finale at Tennessee... Also had a single rushing attempt in each of team's first four games, totaling nine yards... First career rush resulted in 2-yard touchdown against Western Carolina. 2008 Van Rensburg served as special teams contributor, seeing action on conversion and return units in final eight games. 2007 Did not see game action as a freshman, though impressed as a practice squad running back in fall drills...
