There is no need to worry folks, as a recent study by Amnesty International assures that the face boo-owned WhatsApp is the safest messenger app when compared to Skype and snapchat. Study says that Skype and snapchat were slammed because of its weak encryption “Skype has been a major target of government surveillance worldwide. Despite Microsoft’s strong policy commitment to human rights, it is still using a weak form of encryption on Skype”, Says Amnesty. It also says that snapchat’s sudden disappearing photos might give users a sense of fear of privacy. With the recent interview of WSJ, the co-founders of WhatsApp explained how the messaging service will stay committed to its user privacy. WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum says that we have never asked our users for their names, genders, age or where they live as it’s not like sitting on the wealth of information. Our very own WhatsApp was appreciated when the default end-to-end encryption was announced in April. But its idea of customer’s sharing their contact numbers with its parent company, Facebook was criticized. In an interview, WhatsApp co-founders explained the Terms of Service which was updated to take advantage of Facebook’s spam-detection system. According to Amnesty, “Facebook is doing the most to use encryption to respond to human rights threats, and is most transparent about the action it’s taking.“WhatsApp is the only app where users are explicitly warned when end-toend encryption is not applied to a particular chat, but Messenger does not apply end-to-end encryption as a default, and does not warn users that regular conversations use a weaker form of encryption,” it added. His dedication and honesty was considered by the Mysore Government and was then appointed as the district in-charge of Mysore. Designers behind the curtain.

It will be interesting to know who actually designed this master piece? The men behind this architecture were Amanat Khan Shiraz, who was a calligrapher. It might amuse you to know that his name appears at the end of one of the gates of the Taj. Other pillar was Poet Ghiyasuddin,he is the face Behind the writing which you come across on the tombstone. Muhammad Hanruif was the one who looked after masons. What attracts you the most when you see Taj? Yes, it’s amazing tomb. And the man behind it was Ismail Khan Afridi. They all are the real ones which deserve lauds. Ustad Ahmad Lahauri, is the one who should be credited for Taj’s design.

Let’s go back in time

Everything that has gone down in history has a story to recall. 1632 AD it was, when Taj Mahal was first bricked. As we all know, the main agenda behind this construction was Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that Mumtaz wanted a tomb to be built in her name for which the world would get mesmerised, and Shah Jahan did exactly what she wanted. Evolving of this beauty took 17 years i.e it ended in 1648 AD with the effort of 22000 souls behind it. Taj is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. It has been, it is being and it will be the most celebrated mughal architectures ever.

What was used?

The mind blower was constructed using white marbles embeded with precious stones like crystal, amethyst and turquois and many others forming designs using mastered techniques. Quran verses were calligraphed in the entrances of Taj. To your amazement the material was brought in from all over India and central Asia and it took around 1000 elephants to transport it to the site. Inside Taj an octagonal marble chamber decorated with carvings and semi-precious stones housed the tomb, of Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that the real cartons of Mumtaz lay at garden. Taj Mahal also included a gateway made of red sandstone and a square garden which was divided for the sake of long pools of water. One more thing that is eyecatching in Taj is that there is red sandstone mosque and an identical building called a jawab (or “mirror”) directly across from the mosque. Story says, Shah Jahan wished to build a second grand mausoleum across the Yamuna Riverl, where he wanted to bury his remains. It was planned that the two structures would be connected by a bridge.

March 14th, 1965 born, Aamir Khan hails from aamchi Mumbai. He was born to Zeenath Hussain who’s from Bhopal and Tahir Hussain from Banaras. There is no doubt that he belongs to a family studded with actors, producers and directors. Aamir being the eldest among his three siblings has more stardom in plate. He did his primary education in St.Pitts school and shifted to St.Anne’s for his high Primary. He completed his high schooling in Bombay Scottish School. It will surprise you if I tell you that he started his acting career at the age of 8. Yes, he was first seen in Nasir Husain’s Directed musical film, “Yadoon Ki Baarath”.

Growing career

After his not-so applauded Holi his next try was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, opposite Juhi Chawla. This movie which was based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet was immensely appreciated and gave Aamir his first debut award and seven awards for the movie. Few of his blockbusters between 1980’s and 90’s are Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (for which he also wrote the screenplay), and Rangeela. Other successes- Andaz Apna Apna, co-starring Salman Khan. There was a jolt in his career where he started acting in only one or two movies a year. His one and only release in 1996 was commercial blockbuster Raja Hindustani, in which he was paired opposite Karishma Kapoor. It was special for Amir as it earned him his first Film fare Best Actor Award, after seven previous nominations, and went on to be the biggest hit of the year, as well as the thirdhighest grossing Indian film of the 1990s. Khan’s career seemed to hit a peak of his career at this point. His next hits Sarfarosh and Ishq were critically appreciated for his acting. 24

When it came to his bests

Who can forget this beauty called Lagaan directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar and Aamir Khan produced. It kind of made an imprint on everyone’s memory isn’t it? This movie which was based on a real story during the times of freedom struggle managed to go all the way to Oscars. Aamir consecutively won best actor in film fare and the film was critically acclaimed internationally. Farhan Akhtar’s debut directed “Dil Chahta hai” was his next milestone in which Aamir co-starred with Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna, with Preity Zinta playing his love interest. This movie was like fresh air which blew throughout the industry as it came up with a completely different concept and direction. Most of the youths loved it.

Break ke baad-his comeback

After his long break with the industry he came back with Ketan Mehta’s directed Mangal Pandey which was screened in Cannes film festival. Then came Rang de Basanti, words fall short to describe this master piece. Indian drama film co written, co produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It features Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni and British actress Alice Patten in the lead roles. Upon release, the film broke all opening box office records in India the film was well received and praised for strong screenplay and dialogues.

Stars on streets

The little Darsheel and Aamir Khan Starrer “Taare zameen par” was made under his production and was his directorial debut Khan plays a supporting role as a teacher who befriends and helps a dyslexic child. This movie was not just a commercial success but it was conceived in a perfect way by the audience and in India many parents changed their thinking patterns looking at the film. This shows how the movie was directed. It was a complete family entertainment.

Aamir Khan hosted a television show “Satyameva Jayate on start plus. This show revolved around social issues of the country where analysts were called and problems were discussed in some cases solved too. He was paid 30 million for one episode. This show was first aired on TV on 16th May; 2016.The first issue which was dealt that day was female infanticide and it got humongous response in return. Other major issues like corruption, dowry, equality issues, women empowerment and many others. There were two seasons of this show. And its audiences are waiting for its next season.

Intolerance and all that

It was in 2015 in an event Aamir Khan spoke about intolerance in this country and received a huge backlash on his “moving out of India statement.” Several Bollywood actors criticised Khan’s remark for intolerance, including Shatrughan Sinha, Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon and Vivek Oberoi. He did give a clarification on his comments in January 2016, saying that he never meant that India was intolerant or he thought about leaving the country. He said that his comments were taken out of context and the media was responsible for it to some extent.

It is true that almost all Bollywood celebrities have issues concerning their personal life. Ok, Aamir has one too. Amir married Reena Dutta who played a small role in Qayamath se Qayamath tak. Later on with two children Junaid khan and Ira khan both decided to get divorced. But Reena got the custody of the kids. Aamir Khan was into lawn tennis during his school days, and he was not a bad player either. He represented his school in lawn tennis in several state level championships. Roger Federer is his favorite tennis player. At the age of 16, Aamir, along with his friend Aditya Bhattacharya made a silent experimental film called Paranoia. Aamir and Raj Zutshi doubled up as the publicity workers and pasted the posters of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak on buses and autos as the film was being made at a small budget. He himself told people that he is the hero of the film. Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla became close friends on the sets of QSQT (1988), but their friendship soured during the shoot of Ishq in 1997 when Aamir’s played a prank on her and Juhi was livid with him. They haven’t done any film together since then. Oops. Aamir was not always against the award shows, but his point of view changed in 1990 when he lost the Best Actor award to Sunny Deol in Ghayal. He was nominated for Dil. Till now; he has been nominated 17 times for the Filmfare Award. Though he has no reservation against the Oscar Awards.

What was your reaction when you saw Mr. Perfectionist’s Dangal’s Avatar? Stunned? You should be. Dangal which is Aamir Khan’s most awaited movie of this year made Aamir go fit to fat and fat to fit again. Sounds easy, very easy. Imagine the amount of dedication being pooled in by him. He also wrote a death note while shooting for dangal, as he could not breathe and faced a lot of health issues. The film is divided into two parts where Aamir is playing one role in two different phases. Where he’s portraying former Indian wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat(Geeta Phogat’s father). “The film has two phases. “For one part, I had to put on weight. So, I weighed 96 kgs with 38% body fat”,says Aamir Khan. Aamir consecutively ate chocolates and all kind of junk food for six months and gaind 26 kilos. He also says that he loved eating as he ate whatever he felt in like eating. But, to reduce this immensely gained fat was a huge task to him. He then had to reduce 9 precent of his body fat to have a wrestler’s look. This actor then only stuck to fruits, Indian fat free food and protein shakes. He also says that he had to eat only 8 grams of upma per day along with some fruits. Eventually the actor’s dedication showed results as he again gained a carved body with massive biceps and a thug chest. P. S. - Do not try this at home without any expert supervision.

He has sculptured his career in entertainment sector as a successful film producer and well-known distributor as well. In an exclusive interview with ZOOM Magazine, he shared his untold journey of both personal and professional life.

Let’s have a look… My Background…. My parents are originated from Malur Taluk, Baragur village. They are the planters, who sell flowers and plants. I being the younger one, I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I am happily married and blessed with twin kids. I have completed my schooling in Canadian Memorial School, Hombegowda High school, and graduated in BHS First Grade College. Our parents have worked hard to provide me a good education. When it comes to my career, my childhood friend Sudeep, who is a well-known actor in the various film industries, helped me to strengthen my career in Kannada film industry. Kiccha Sudeep is a close friend and we had played for the same cricket club in our early days. With Kiccha Sudeep’s support, I entered Kannada film industry. He helped me in producing Kannada films and now I’m a distributor. He is one of the main reasons behind this successful journey. 30

Flash Back Journey As A Producer & Film Distributor As a distributor, I have done few cinemas, but when it comes to production, “Deadly Soma” was my first film and then comes Deadly-2, Kote, Lifeu Istene, and Bajarangi. Being a producer, I involve myself like a student with the director, which thought me a lot about direction, dialogues, screenplay, camera works and a lot more. I was also thrilled to work with Pawan Kumar, who is the director of Lifeu Istene. It thought me a unique style of making films. As a businessperson, I worked as a production executive in Sarovar production for the film Swathi Muthu. Sudeep’s mother was the business guru as she guided in various financial aspects of the film industry. Soon after producing 5 films, I found few white spaces in our distribution field, so I decided to fill those gaps and strengthen our Kannada film industry. Whenever a film is produced, there has to be an effective publicity with appropriate number of theaters for the success of every movie. It’s very essential to strategize the number of theaters for any movie to reach the amount of expected audience across Karnataka.

How To Tackle The Challenges Faced By Sandalwood Film Industry? Firstly, theaters across the state should be upgraded. Secondly, an audience travels at least 2 hours to watch a film of 2.5 hours in a metropolitan city like Bangalore due to traffic, so setting up few neighborhood theaters would solve their problem. Therefore, Government, Business investors and producers of this industry can think of establishing such neighborhood theaters across the state. As per my knowledge, overall there are around 700 theaters across Karnataka, and it could be increased up to 1500. Most of the places in the city have no theaters, for instance, Nagamangala has just 1 theater, in Bellur cross, Murugeshpalya, Indiranagar, from HAL to Marathalli, Malesh Pallya there exists no theaters. Due to this, Kannada movies are facing lots of challenge; moreover, Bangalore city houses people from wide variety of languages. People of Karnataka must stay united in terms of language and we should keep entertaining the film viewers wholeheartedly and never make them feel bored in those 2.5 hours in theaters. Only then, we can uplift our Sandalwood industry beyond other film industries.

Early Days My school education began from Sri Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Shimoga and emerged as B.Com graduate from Gear Innovative, Bangalore. I learned the value of life, while studying in Mutt. Though I was from wealthy family, I was groomed with simple lifestyle, lots of discipline, and moral principle. I would like to say that my parents are the prime reason for my status in the society. When it comes to my family background, my father M Srinivas, a businessperson in mining and construction sector. My mother is Nirmala, a homemaker. I am married and have a 4 years boy.

Journey Of Hebbuli’s Production Kichha Sudeep, who is my close friend, offered me a chance to produce his film. I took it as opportunity and agreed to do it. I listened a story and invested as a friend of Sudeep and director S Krishna, but not as a producer. There was a great coordination as they discussed every shot of the film. The story goes around the country, army and emotions. Kiccha Sudeep, Ravi Chandran, Amala Paul, Ravi Shankar, and Chikkanna are in the lead role in this film. There was a gossip in our film industry that goes like Sudeep’s films required a year with huge budget. But we have whipped out such gossips and decided to complete within 6 months. And we have done it… Hebbuli’s Teaser has received a good response and the film is accepted to release on December or January month. Various producers and artists have also appreciated the story and songs of the film.

Future Projects Recently, I have decided to produce “Rama Rama Re” film directed by D Satyaprakash in Kannada to Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam for which I have taken the dubbing rights as well. Additionally, I have another two projects with Sudeep and Punit Raj Kumar. Apart from film industry, I run my father business. I run “Namma Shivamogga” KPL franchise. Recently, I am also planning film studio with 20 acres of AC floors. God has blessed me with everything.
