Our Sisters
These mocassin tops, or "vamps," are part of a collection of over 1,600 made by people across Canada and around the world to honour and commemorate missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada and the United States. Over 600 Aboriginal women have gone missing or been murdered in Canada in the last 20 years. This collaborative art installation is entitled Walking With Our Sisters, and shows in galleries across the country.
