The Sunday Times has declared that York is the best place to live in the UK in 2018 and TripAdvisor have officially named York in the UK's top 5 destinations to visit. Find out why it's also a great place to meet. We love our city and we’re not the only ones. See what some of our event organisers have to say...

13

"I like York for its choice. Of venues, things to do and lots of added value"

"I like York for its wealth of things to do and see, and all a short stroll from each other"

We have members attending our Day of Celebration from all around the world, so location, overall appeal and accommodation provision are very important to us. York’s well located and the appeal of the historic city, together with the accommodation service means our event will be well attended and enjoyed.

A suitable venue is just one of the things we look for in a destination. When it comes to organising our conferences and events, delegates expect the whole package – activities, ease of travel, great food and plenty of things for them to explore. We’re looking forward to holding our 2019 conference in the city.

"I like York for its Shambles! a street full of history that demands exploring"

"I like York for its greats - great history, great photography, great shopping and great food"

VisitYork4meetings were not only helpful but also very patient as I always have key criteria to meet. Their ideas and help with negotiations for our event venue were invaluable which is why we would definitely consider York again.

Even after 10 years of holding the annual PCR Conference in York, I’m still amazed to find something different each time! The variety of venues, together with its accessible location is what makes me return to York time and time again. The on-going support of the VisitYork4meetings team, is fantastic too.
