Treasurer’s House is not as it first appears. At one time divided into three houses, in the late 1900s, Frank Green created his version of a historic house to showcase his collection. See both sides of the story as he demolished parts of the house not to his liking, yet transformed a house of declining fortunes into a handsome property with lavish interiors. Join free tours on selected days with the Below Stairs Café and garden free to enter. Open in 2016: 1 March – 31 October, 11am – 4.30pm. 10 November – 18 December, Thursday - Sunday. Car parking charges apply from 08.00 to 18.00. After 18.00, the evening charge of £2 for any length of stay applies unless otherwise stated. Parking is free between midnight and 08.00. CCTV – Monitored 24 hour closed circuit TV cameras operate in all car parks except Piccadilly and Castle Mills. Other Vehicles There are free designated motorcycle bays in the car parks at Bootham Row, Foss Bank, Marygate, Esplanade and Monk Bar and on street at Blossom Street, Cumberland Street, Dennis Street, Piccadilly, Nunnery Lane and Tanner’s Moat. Please note that motorcycles are not allowed to park in any of the bicycle racks.
