GETTING AROUND YORK York city centre is compact and pedestrianised with the majority of conference venues and accommodation providers being just a short walk from York Railway Station. It’s actually possible to walk across the city centre in just 20 minutes, meaning your delegates will see more of the city during their visit.

For those day delegates arriving by car, a network of six Park & Ride facilities are situated at each major entrance point to the city. Parking is free of charge and buses run from early morning, every 10-15 minutes throughout the day, providing an efficient low-fare service. Scarborough Spa Map Ref. 8 Located right on the sea front in the beautiful South Bay, Scarborough Spa is a charming grade II listed Victorian venue housing an extensive multi-function conference and entertainments centre. Scarborough Spa offers three main event rooms, the Grand Hall, the Spa Theatre and the Ocean Room. The Grand Hall is ideal for conferences for up to 1,300 delegates but its flexible 823m² ground floor area also offers versatile space for exhibitions. The venue’s Spa Theatre, like the Grand Hall is of traditional Victorian design, with seating for up to 530 delegates and is equipped with the latest technology to accommodate the demands of any conference. The Tempest Anderson Hall is a 295 seated theatre style auditorium within the Yorkshire Museum in York Museum Gardens. The Hall is ideal for holding lectures, presentations and seminars. It has a 3.5 x 7 metre projection screen and AV equipment. The Hall is available daytime and evening and can be used in conjunction with the Yorkshire Museum and Hospitium for workshops and evening events. The Yorkshire Museum situated in York Museum Gardens can accommodate drinks receptions for up to 300 people and small intimate dinners for up to 30 people. The award winning York Castle Museum, famous for housing some of the ďŹ nest collections in the country offers a wonderful setting for evening dinners, receptions and buffets. The recreated Victorian Street, Kirkgate, is our most famous attraction and never fails to delight, with its cobbled street and genuine shop windows packed with every day goods from the past.
