The Tapnell Trail The Tapnell Trail was developed by the Isle of Wight Ramblers and opened in May 2015. The circular route of 6.5 miles runs from Freshwater via Tapnell Farm. Find more at www.iowramblers.com.

The trail celebrates a thoroughbred horse called Warrior and its heroic exploits during World War 1. Unlike the movie ‘War Horse’, Warrior’s story began on the Island and the trail retraces its training routes to create a fabulous walk through the Island’s scenery.
