ENJOY LEVANGER
At Staup you can stroll through orchards – people may freely harvest fruit, or maybe embark on an apple scrump in autumns twilight hours. In winter, there are great toboggan slopes here. Go exploring or enjoy the city view from the many viewpoints!

Staupshaugen – high and low Staupshaugen is large and rich in content, with secret bases, like the deciduous forest. The majestic beech forest consists of 50–60 large trees. The hill has trails that criss-cross, and there are long fine slopes for sledding in winter.

Røstad
– historical turns
The love trail winds over Holmgangen and up the small hill to Holmhaugen. In the olden days, it was a smallholding under Røstad north, which was purchased by the state in 1899 and a special school was built there. Holmhaugen was frequently used as a meeting place with bonfire and games for pupils and staff.

The wooden city Levanger celebrated its thousand year anniversary in 2011. Ever since the Middle Ages, if not further back, the city has been a trading and meeting place, with its proximity to the sea and Sweden. The name Levanger derives from Old Norse Lifangr, meaning most probably sheltered harbour. Levanger has a diverse nature and the town itself has several green oases.
