Competition Terms & Conditions
1. The ‘One Summer is not enough’ competition is hosted by Experience Abu Dhabi’s via dark promotion on Facebook & Instagram only.
Competition Mechanism
• All participants whose name: - is ‘summer’ - sounds like ‘summer’ - means ‘summer’ must fill in the form linked on the competition post. The form requires participants to fill details including their full name, country of origin and email.
• Each participant is allowed to submit ONE ‘Name’ only.
• Submitted names of participants MUST be their actual/legal names.
• Alias or pet names will be disqualified and not be accepted.
• Participants will be required to validate their names with an official proof if required.
• Shortlisted participants will be required to share a short video to Experience Abu Dhabi. The video will feature the participant talking about how excited they are to visit Abu Dhabi.
2. The duration of this competition is ONE week starting from the day the competition promotion begins on Facebook & Instagram channels .
3. The closing date of the competition is as specified, and DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to amend the competition’s terms and conditions including the end date at any time.
• This competition runs as follows: the starting date is 7 May, 2024 and the closing date is 14 May, 2024
• The competition will pick 3 winners in total
• 3 winners will be announced on the Experience Abu Dhabi’s Facebook page (The announcement will be made after the winner’s confirmation that he/she will be able to avail the prize)
4. By entering this competition, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and that you agree to them.
5. Upon entering this competition, contestants acknowledge and confirm that they are individuals, and not companies or businesses or professional entities.
6. Incomplete personal information, information submitted late, or information that does not comply with the rules set out by DCT Abu Dhabi shall be deemed unacceptable for the purpose of this competition, and any information provided by participants and all information entered is the property of DCT Abu Dhabi and may not be returned. Participants waive any right to claim otherwise and DCT Abu Dhabi may utilise this data for the purpose of its official work.
7. DCT Abu Dhabi shall not bear liability for any damage, loss, injury, and so on incurred by a participant that participated in this competition, or for any event that occurs as a result of their not accepting the prize. Further, DCT Abu Dhabi will not bear liability for any problems or technical breakdowns incurred by any computer, system, server, service provider, software, hardware, or for any email failure or interference that happens to their account, or any internet issues or failures, or for anything that is encountered on any website, including any injury that occurs or represents a result of participation in the competition or downloading competition materials.
8. All insurance and PCR needs are to be arranged by the competition winner and DCT Abu Dhabi accepts no liability for damage, injury, delays, or any incidents arriving from force majeure and/or Act of God.
9. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 years or over except employees of DCT Abu Dhabi and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with DCT Abu Dhabi or judging of the competition.
10. The competition winner will be selected by DCT Abu Dhabi, and at DCT Abu Dhabi’s sole discretion. The decision of the judges is considered final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Participants waive any right to appeal or criticise the decision of the judges.
• The winner will be selected through a DCT winner selection committee.
11. The competition winner will be notified by telephone, direct message and/or e-mail. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within FIVE days of notification, DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. DCT Abu Dhabi will provide the selected 3 winners with a prize consisting of:
• Return economy flight tickets to Abu Dhabi for two adults.
• Airport transfers
• Full board* hotel stay for four nights for two adults at a 5-star Abu Dhabi hotel.
• Passes for two adults to selected Abu Dhabi attractions & experiences
• Transportation in and around Abu Dhabi city
* Meals exclude Alcohol & Shisha
The following terms and conditions apply to the prize:
• Winners will be provided with Abu Dhabi itineraries that will need to be followed.
• Winners must provide consent to be filmed while they are in Abu Dhabi.
• Videos of the winners enjoying the attractions and experiences in Abu Dhabi will be used on Experience Abu Dhabi’s Social Media channels.
• There is no entry fee, and no purchase is necessary to enter this competition. The prize is only valid and can only be redeemed with prior reservation and is subject to availability. The bookings may be subject to blackout dates which may be amended by the airline at any time.
• The prize is not transferable.
• The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable either
• Prizes are subject to availability and DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
• Winner is allowed to bring a companion of their choice.
• Travel date changes for flights are not permitted after bookings are made.
13. Winners and their visitors must be fully vaccinated and share a proof of vaccination when contacted.
14. Participants must follow all steps mentioned in the competition post to be eligible to win.
15. By entering the competition, the winner and other participants agree to participate in this promotional activity and willing to offer the produced material as DCT Abu Dhabi may require.
16. DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. DCT Abu Dhabi may also create rules which will apply to this specific competition only. Amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules will be published on the relevant competition page.
17. DCT Abu Dhabi will endeavour to arrange prize claims within a fortnight after the competition end date but cannot guarantee this delivery time.
18. DCT Abu Dhabi is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any participants by any third party connected with this competition.
19. DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to cancel this competition or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of force majeure and/or Act of God or any actual breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of DCT Abu Dhabi’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by DCT Abu Dhabi.
20. Should any automated entries be identified, DCT Abu Dhabi reserves the right to disqualify and/ or block users from the competition.
21. This competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by United Arab Emirates laws and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi.
