Welcome THE RICHARDSON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE A diverse group of programs designed to meet both the needs of small businesses and large corporations are built around delivering the Richardson Chamber’s core values to its members. Programs focus on the key areas of business advocacy, leadership development and education and networking. These programs complement the efforts of the Richardson Economic Development Partnership (REDP), a partnership between the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the City of Richardson, that provides economic development services, to comprise a comprehensive set of events and activities for the 850-plus members of the Chamber.

A strong economic development program and the delivery of tangible benefits to its members have been the cornerstones of a successful Chamber that has served both its community and its members well throughout its history.

Since the inaugural class in 1986, 921 graduates have made a significant contribution to the Richardson community by serving as elected officials on the Richardson City Council and RISD Board of Trustees and in leadership positions on boards for the city, Chamber and civic clubs and organizations.

The Chamber’s vision is to be the premier local chamber of commerce in North Texas that enhances the business environment for its members and the community. Our mission is to utilize the involvement of our members to reinvigorate and seek continuous improvements in our programs and services that constantly deliver tangible value to our members and the community.

Signature Luncheon – A quarterly program that provides informative presentations and expert speakers on topics of significance and trends in the business community.

In 2011,the Chamber adopted a set of core values that defines how we deliver on our vision and mission: • Collaboration • Excellence • Innovation • Leadership • Integrity • Service • Inclusiveness

Business and Industry Luncheon – Held in November where seven awards for achievement and dedication to the Richardson business community are presented to local businesses.

Based on these core values,a new strategic plan and a list of quality programs and services to our members,the Richardson Chamber of Commerce was awarded a 5-star accreditation from the United States Chamber of Commerce in 2011. It is the highest level of accreditation a Chamber can earn and one of only five chambers in Texas with that accreditation.

Significant Chamber Programs Leadership Richardson – The Chamber’s premier leadership development program. For 27 years, Leadership Richardson has brought together emerging community and business leaders to dream about and care for our community. This nine-month program, from September to May, provides unique insights into the dynamics of the Richardson community.

You will find the Chamber to be business-oriented and Richardson to be a business-friendly community with an expansive economic base of worldwide companies and outstanding small businesses,quality educational institutions,excellent healthcare facilities and vibrant parks and recreational opportunities. Business Trade Show – Promotes the diverse range of products and services offered by Chamber members to the public and business community of Richardson and the surrounding area.

New Teachers Luncheon – Held at the beginning of the school year to welcome new teachers to the Richardson ISD. Public Affairs – Monitor and review legislative issues that affect Richardson and the North Texas area, provide educational programs and activities to develop consensus on local issues and organize Legislative Day in Austin every two years. Women In Leadership – Quarterly luncheons and occasional networking events specifically geared to inspire, influence and champion powerful women through networking, mentoring and professional development. Richardson Young Professionals – A series of programs and community service projects engage an emerging group of up-andcoming leaders who are committed to personal growth and career advancement.
