navigating the uncertainties of life can be challenging both for you and your loved ones, but securing the future of your loved ones need not be. With a Lifetime Trust you can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that your assets have been safeguarded and will benefit your chosen loved ones exactly as you intend.
Many still believe that Lifetime Trusts are only for the wealthy, but this is no longer the case with ordinary folk now owning their homes and looking to protect their assets. Westminster Law has made Lifetime Trusts an affordable and practical solution and has made it possible for anyone to secure their family’s future with the same protection and foresight that the wealthy have enjoyed for centuries.
Why choose a Lifetime Trust?
• Avoid the cost and delays of probate: Grant immediate access on your death to some or all of your assets held in trust without the need for probate.
• Control and protection: Claim full control over your assets and shield your family’s inheritance from divorce, creditors, and other predatory challenges.
• Ensure future care of your beneficiaries: Guarantee that the trust capital can assist your loved ones for generations; for example, for education, health care, and first homes.
• Retain more of your wealth: Strategically reduce or even eliminate potential inheritance tax liabilities for yourself and future generations.
Many believe setting up a trust means losing control; however, the reality is quite the opposite. With the right planning, a Lifetime Trust allows you to maintain full control over your assets both during your lifetime and after death. A Lifetime Trust ensures that your wishes regarding your assets are meticulously realised with precision and care.
By setting up a Lifetime Trust you can preserve your legacy, ensuring your intentions are fulfilled not just for the present, but also for future generations.
Westminster Law assesses the circumstances of couples and individuals and arranges the Trust that will provide the best protection for them, their loved ones and their assets.

The leaves are turning and the mornings feel colder so now our thoughts turn to Autumn Fun; Halloween and Bonfire Night fast approaches. Whilst we are busy preparing our outfits and planning our events, it is even more important to plan the management of our pets’ fears.
Research by the RSpCA has found that 62 per cent of dogs and 54 percent of cats show anxiety when fireworks explode. However, many owners are unaware of how to help their pets with firework fears and the precautions that can be taken to help them cope with their fear of loud noises.
Barking, pacing, refusal to eat, panting and trembling, cowering , destructive behaviour are just some of the signs that our beloved pets are feeling stressed.
Here are some hints and tips to help keep your pet happy and safe during this season:
1. MAKE SuRE yOR CAT AnD DOg ARE MiCROCHippED AnD THAT THEiR MiCROCHip DETAiLS ARE up TO DATE. if the worst happens and they escape its gives a better chance of being reunited.
2. Desensitisation: start by playing firework sounds at a low volume for a very short period of time. Monitor your pet for stress. if unaffected increase the duration the sounds are played for. The pDSA have some excellent tips on their website pdsa.org.uk

9. Also make sure your cats have access to enough litter trays, especially if they are being kept inside
10. provide distractions in the form of new toys and chews. Draw the curtains and put the TV or music on to mask the noise; Classic FM play specific music to help calm pets at this time of year
11. Try not to leave your pets alone when the fireworks are going off; check when the local public displays are scheduled so you can plan around them
12. Small animals and birds all need to be treated with special care as these animals are easily frightened. Hutches, cages and enclosures should, if possible, be brought into a quiet room indoors, or into a garage or shed. provide extra bedding for them to burrow down in can help the pet feel more secure

13. Aviaries should be covered with thick blankets to
3. provide a den or hiding place for your pets
4. Keep dogs and cats indoors during fireworks
5. Ensure dogs are taken out for a walk/to the toilet before it gets dark to avoid the need to be taken out during the fireworks
6. Anxious dogs can pant more so make sure their water bowl is regularly topped up
7. Windows, doors and cat flaps are to remain closed to prevent pets from escaping and to reduce noise
8. Check that all the cats in the household have safe places to hide in. These are often up high, for example on top of the cupboards, but could also be under a bed or in a box. Once a cat has found a safe spot for the night, leave him/her alone and don’t try to coax it out as this is where your cat will feel most secure
block out the sight and sound of the fireworks, but care should be taken to ensure there is enough ventilation in the aviary in addition to these straightforward precautions, there are homeopathic remedies that may help. At Barrmore Vets we sell plug in diffusers can be placed near the pets bedding. in addition ( or alternatively) there is a spray form which is sprayed on pets bedding or a bandana. We are here to help guide what is best for your pet.
Finally, if these hints and tips do not work please speak to you vet. There are also prescribed options available and they can advise what is best for your pet. please speak to your vet as soon as possible as some may take several weeks to build up their effectiveness.
Remember to give yourself enough time to plan – sooner is better than later.
Here at Barrmore Vets we can provide your with information on how best to prepare your pets so call us now on 01443 22466, visit our Facebook page or Website at www.barrmorevets.co.uk

Will Finn and rosie Calvert are an award-winning husband-and-wife duo who came together through their love of music. First coming to prominence with their acapella quartet The Teacups, the pair perform traditional and contemporary folk music with vibrancy and flair - intricate harmonies; the rousing instrumentation of piano, steel pan, and ukulele; and joyful, warm stage presence.
graduates of their native newcastle’s Folk and Traditional Music degree, Rosie and Will’s music combines influences ranging from old English ballads to gothic Americana, but they are most defined by their spell-binding harmonies. With only two voices, their arrangements have been described as “deceptively full”, and their joy in singing is infectious - chorus songs abound and singing along is encouraged! Audiences are immediately put at their ease by the pair’s inviting stage presence and warm banter, and the duo rise to ever greater heights with their second studio album. Their musical chemistry and virtuosity have matured and developed, creating a transformative and evocative sound that leaves listeners eager for more.

Their recently released album entitled Fallow Alchemy, as a concept, is about the radical and transformative power of rest and stillness - how the natural world requires a winter, a fallow period of hibernation, in order for growth and creativity and new life to burst forth. This album was made over a period of years with many ebbs and flows of creative energy, moving through various forms and stages until we came to a full stop, and surrendered to deep and considered rest. it was only after this that they were able to truly break through and create work that both were excited and proud of. They have delved deep into material concerning the natural world for this album, and many of the songs highlight the connection between humankind and the wildlife of this country and beyond. Audiences can expect to hear material from this album alongside a couple of new songs as well.
