a Tropical island.

GILI GEDE ISLAND

A Tropical island is undoubtedly very interesting and fascinating for what it offers. From the jungle to the sea with crystal clear waters and its seabed and fauna so abundant and varied. The fruits of the earth are also plentiful and precious. Often we judge the islanders of equatorial islands be lazy. I believe that the issue is deeper then that and probably the "guilty" of this way of life is the great generosity of Mother Nature. In these places you do not feel the cold, hunger and in general the need to think about the future. No need to worry about stowing supplies for the cold months of winter to survive as in many other places of our world. They go barefoot and with minimal clothing. Food is easily available and barter is still a practice not so archaic as in "evolved" society. A banana, a mango and many other fruits, "exotic" for us, are available to anyone who wants, fishes are plentiful and caught with ease. They... we sleep in the open or just protected from rain and sun. Who wants to accumulate assets is perhaps seen with astonishment, tomorrow all this will still be available and so why worry about it. The sea is a great asset and always changing and enriching. Only humans can perhaps destroy it eventually with their actions.

New islands appear from nowhere emerging from the depths. Corals take hundreds of years to grow enough to emerge but constantly growing and it's time that become shallow waters before having created a foundation on which to continue to grow and accumulate coral sand or fragmentation of the older corals by the action of continuous currents. I was able to monitor, for 15 years one of these islands that I called NeverLand, not the fictional location featured in the works

of JM Barrie, the dwelling place of Peter Pan, but simply for the fact that a summit sand appears only with the low tide and otherwise disappears. Over the years I have seen the platform/hard core appear at low tides that occur only a few times of the year, now a little sand on top is visible even with the high tides .. if not too high.

I often take there my guests for a swim in this beautiful pool http://issuu.com/villa.centofiori/docs Come for a visit. Call +62 (0)817 368-444 or email me: centofiori.giligede@gmail.com . Watch Publications on

with water so clear that one is led to believe to be able to drink. Even my dogs feel when we are directed to NeverLand and require aloud to come. Gwen, the Labrador is obvious that wants to come to her skills as a lover of the water but Nik, the small Beagle who had even afraid of water, along with trust everything Gwen does and with our help, has become a swimmer and is often the first to dive to outrun Gwen. On NeverLand, the children enjoy very much and the dogs are no different. From one of the photos you can see that Nik also benefits from a lift on the back of Gwen who always get involved by feats of his little friend. For the moment only the seagulls come to rest on the island but one day the first palm will spout up from coconut brought from the sea and the green will http://issuu.com/villa.centofiori/docs Come for a visit. appear as if by magic and the island will come to life. The dozens of small islands in the archipelago of which Gili Gede (Big Island) is part, offer many opportunities to see amazing things that, due to the fact that nature is still sovereign here. Seabed still intact, it is not uncommon to see large sea turtles, giant manta rays, small lobsters in ½ meter of water, sea stars of all colors and sizes. On a couple of occasions we saw a couple of dolphins in the channel close to our jetty and often while traveling by boat. This is what will be donated to you if will be staying in Gili Gede, the contact with nature, with the forces that it controls, sometimes benevolent sometimes rough but always predictable. The air salt-iodine you breathe invigorates the body and the spirit. Do not miss this unique opportunity that presents itself by purchasing our Villa Centofiori. We sincerely hope that it can be bought by someone loves the sea and the genuine things of life as we love them, but we will keep the offer for those who want to harness the great potential for tourism development that Gili Gede and our property offers.
