Viatorian Provincials "Back in the Trenches"_ Viatorian Fathers Edward Anderson, Kenneth Morris and Patrick Render are three former Provincials who continue to serve God's people and the Viatorian Community. The elected role of Provincial is to serve as "Pastor" for the entire Community.
Fr. Morris was very active in the Viatorian program for the formation of the younger members. He also served as a professor of sacred scripture; theRector of the Viatorian Seminary in Washington D.C., and later became the Master of Novices. He was elected Provincial in 1974 and served until1984, when he

Anderson taught high school at Spaulding Institute in Peoria, Illinois from 1956 to 1957; Cathedral Boys High School, Springfield, Illinois from 1957 to 1959, Alleman High School, Rock Island, Illinois 1959 to 1966, and was Principal at Bishop Gorman High School, Las Vegas, Nevada from 1966 to 1969. He taught at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and later became the Principal and President of St. Viator. Discerning Vocations __ Seven young adult men gathered in mid Winter for a vocation retreat at the Provincial Center in Arlington Heights, led by Vocation Director Brother Corey Brost, C.S. V. The men ranged in age from 18 to 22, and included college freshmen to a 1999 graduate with a degree in Theology. Three of the men came from the following Viatorian ministries: St. Thomas More Catholic Community in Henderson, Nevada; Holy Family Parish in Granite City, IL; and St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL.
