cedented amount of success. The dance was he ld at the Kankakee HoThere were tel in the Gold Room. about one hundred couple s who made their way thru the heavy snowfall of confetti that was literally poured out at freq uent intervals. The room was approprially decor ated with baloons of various colors, and upon these played sever al lig ht:5 of variou s colors. It all made a very striking a nd g lamourous scene. The students who fli vve r out from Kanh:akec and vicinity every day were fo r ced to take a day or two vacation until the State Hi ghway Department co uld efficietly c lear the roads about Kankakee County. Some of the scholars from the nearby metropolis, not knowing that the bus line bad maintained a somewhat irregular schedule during the whole storm, tried to extend their leave a few more days, but their excuse was he ld invalid by the local au t horities. On the other hand, f armers in the vicinity were ke pt busy in taking groups of r esident s tud ents on s led rid es. The revival of this kind o f a party was no doubt occasioned by the Chicagoans who wanted to experience th e· joys of country life .
