Technical Studies in Early Childhood Education Associate of Applied Science

If you think you might enjoy a career working with young Children, this may be the program for you. This program builds upon knowledge gained from completion of the Early Childhood Education CSC and Advanced Early Childhood Education CSC, which are prerequisites to this program. Early childhood professionals promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development in children. You will learn about health, safety and nutrition of children, growth and development, appropriate child observation and assessment and effective interactions with children. While completing this degree, you will also complete Career Studies Certificates in Early Childhood Education and Advanced Early Childhood Education.

G3 Eligible This program is G3 eligible. G3 Scholarships cover tuition and fees for Virginia residents of modest income who are pursuing high demand careers.

Tuition & Fees At only $157 per credit hour, you’ll save $10K to

$22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition. Dr. Winona Fleenor has an extensive teaching career in the social sciences and in human services. In addition to teaching, she has community service experience in the field, volunteering in many different capacities and serving on numerous community boards and committees.
