Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree Are you interested in pursuing a career in a forestry? This Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree should leave you well positioned to transfer to a four-year college or university that offers a forestry major. The program offers flexibility through elective selection to customize the major to the specific area of forestry you wish to pursue (i.e., management, urban forestry, business).

Program Length 2 years (4 semesters) Transfer Objectives Astronomy, Biology (Forestry),

Chemistry, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Math, Pharmacy, Physics, and Pre-medicine.

Tuition & Fees At only $157 per credit hour, you’ll

save $10K to $22K, in tuition costs alone, by starting at VHCC! Out-of-state students living within a 30-mile radius qualify for in-state tuition.

A native of Southwest Virginia, Ben brings a passion for the land and culture of Appalachia to the program. With degrees in Agriculture and Horticulture from Virginia Tech, Prescott College, and Virginia Highlands, Casteel is well versed in the knowledge and skills of the green industries.
