A “Digital� Design/Build furniture piece in Asheville, NC for the spring term of HATCH Asheville 2011. HATCH is a hybrid festival/ conference/retreat that brings together luminaries in architecture, design, fashion, film, journalism, and photography twice a year. Peice by Clemson University Creative Inquiry Class. Students: Veronica Acosta, Honor Cosentino, Brittany McGraw, Rebecca Mercer, Christian Piansay, Alex Tomlinson, and Henry Wilkinson. INTRO TO THE HATCH PAD _HATCH is a biannual festival featuring seven different disciplines in the creative arts. Its gathers together students, professionals, mentors, and creative spirits of all levels to inspire each other and share ideas. Throughout the four day festival, downtown areas of Asheville, NC and Bozeman, MT transform into a hub of creativity as local studios, galleries, theatres, and concert halls open their doors to the community with the hope of inspiring the next generation through the arts.

_The goal of our project is to create a HATCHpad- a terminal where creative minds of all disciplines can engage in an exchange of knowledge, inspiration, and creativity. The HATCHpad will be a unique example of interactive and multifunctional scultpure within the urban environment, acting as a bus stop, gathering place, art piece, and information hub.
