è una selezione di lavori di creativi e aziende che uniscono il tratto artistico al design. La selezione è stata organizzata per il FuoriSalone 2017 di Milano, presso la galleria miFAC di Palazzo SIAM, sede della Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala di Milano in collaborazione con Venice Design Week. I lavori esposti sono stati selezionati per l’elevata qualità della loro manifattura, per l’efficacia del messaggio culturale e in quanto testimoniano le potenzialità del design a produzione limitata, nel quale si evidenziano le tradizioni manifatturiere dei luoghi d’origine. Quando il designer pianifica lavori a produzione limitata, spesso si rilevano caratteristiche artistiche che possono essere di manifattura e di concetto. L’esposizione, che comprende lavori realizzati con materiali diversi, quali vetro, metallo,
argento, legno, pietra, carbonio, tessuti, filati, pelle propone culture e tradizioni manifatturiere di creativi e aziende di origini europee e non. Gli oggetti esposti sono di vario utilizzo. Si tratta di tavoli, sedute, tappeti, gioielli, illuminazione, vasi, vestiti, decorazioni e complementi decorativi e per la cura dell’ambiente. Tutti gli oggetti esposti sono innovativi in quanto uniscono i metodi di lavorazione tradizionali a un design contemporaneo; con la loro estetica e funzione contribuiscono a migliorare le condizioni dell’ambiente abitativo e propongono una visione ironica delle funzioni e degli oggetti del quotidiano. L’intento espositivo è quello di sensibilizzare i visitatori sulle diverse tradizioni culturali e creative e su quanto le stesse influenzino il processo creativo, caratterizzandolo.

L’esposizione evidenzia anche il valore aggiunto che l’artigianato contribuisce a dare al lavoro di design, spesso suscitando forti emozioni. Le opere d’arte esposte testimoniano la maestria degli artigiani che le hanno realizzate. Forma Fantasma-guest designers. Il progetto Paris-Memphis di Thomas Dariel per Maison Dada, che propone candelabri e tappeti ispirati al progetto Memphis dell’architetto Ettore Sottsass. L’accompagnamento sonoro è curato da Lorenzo Milan.

is an exhibition of works made by creators, creative studios and enterprises where art and design mix together. The selected works show a high quality manufacturing level, a strong cultural impact and represent the potentialities of limited edition design.
FUORISALONE 2017 All exhibited works are innovative as they mix traditional working processes with contemporary design. With their aesthetics and functionality they contribute to improve the quality of living space and propose an ironic view of the objects of daily life.
The exhibition goal is to sensitize the visitors on different traditions and cultures as well as on how art can influence design and distinguish the creative project promoting new emotional approaches. VENICE DESIGN WEEK At its 8th edition, the Venice Design Week (VDW) presents to the public an opportunity to experience and interact with the world of design. The VDW has evolved into a point of reference and meeting where people interested in Design can exchange ideas and grow, bringing home new impulses, contacts and inspiration. This year we celebrate a new contest called Wearable Technologies. Starting with its displays in the Fashion Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo, Wearable Technologies.

VENICE DESIGN WEEK Venice Design Week (VDW), all’ottava edizione da l’opportunità di vedere, sperimentare e interagire con i protagonisti del design. VDW si è evoluta negli anni ed ha coinvolto sempre più persone che lavorano nel design e interessati che durante la settimana veneziana scambiano idee trovano ispirazioni e connessioni per i propri progetti. Si inizia con Wearable Technologies, esposizione nel Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo dedicato alla Moda e al Profumo ed un primo convegno sul tema delle tecnologie indossabili programmato per il 7 ottobre. Si prosegue con il Gioiello al Ca’ Pisani. In città ci saranno molte altre mostre che esplorano altri aspetti del design tra cui interior design, la luce, oggetti progettati per essere utili, gioielli. Approcci diversificati convivono con approcci più tradizionali, di seguito alcuni esempi: l’esposizione “Equilibri”, alla ricerca di equilibrio estetico e funzionalità, o “Matematica e
Design”, in cui numeri e formule matematiche si trasformano in straordinari oggetti del quotidiano realizzati in piccole serie, o esposizioni site specific che mostreranno visioni del design contemporaneo nel Museo di Palazzo Grimani.
Visite guidate nelle mostre e in giro per la città conducono i visitatori attraverso percorsi che spaziano dal passato al presente alle visioni future dei designer contemporanei. Appassionati di Design possono trovare nuovi marchi, scelti per lo stile, idee innovative e nuovi spunti. Molti giovani designer sono in città per incontrare il pubblico e le aziende. I marchi noti presentano le loro ricerche, interagiscono per catturare feedback su prossimi prodotti e per promuovere nuovi progetti.
A Venezia si possono scoprire molteplici aspetti del design contemporaneo ed in particolare si scoprono le radici storiche attraverso percorsi specifici.
