SUPERIOR R&D TEAM and assembly facility for SUPERIOR bikes was completely renovated and now produces about 160,000 bikes per year. This production capacity is ensured by more than 290 employees responsible for six assembly lines.

Frames and production forms of SUPERIOR frame kits are the result of our own development and hundreds of working hours of our development team. Everyone who participates in the development of SUPERIOR bikes is an active cyclist who knows well that even trifles in the material selection, design or composition of components may be decisive. We constantly monitor new global trends and oſten try to be right at their inception.

Kopřivnice is ideal for us thanks to its position. It is located in the foothills of the Beskids, where we make the first test rides of our prototypes. The wild Beskydy landscape, whose highest peak is the 1,324-metre Lysa hora, is criss-crossed by hundreds of kilometres of challenging trails that always test the reliability and durability of our products.

For example, the 29" wheel was part of the SUPERIOR collection in 2003 already, thus SUPERIOR became the first European brand (and generally one of the first ones in the world), that discovered the advantages of large wheels, which are now an absolute standard. The current collection 2015 also brings many innovations. One example for all are the new road bike models with hydraulic disc brakes and thru-axles, which shiſt road cycling experience one step further.

DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION SUPERIOR bikes meet the highest quality requirements and are characterized by a clean, functional design. Their development represents a long process that requires thousands of hours of data collection, 3D modelling, production of new forms and functional prototypes, as well as subsequent testing in the laboratory and in the terrain. To achieve the desired results each of our new models must undergo four basic phases of development and production.

6

2/ Design and development We start first draſts with hand sketching on paper. The best ones are then electronically converted to 3D drawings. In the following step a 3D model is printed in 1:1 scale, which allows all the details of construction, styling, graphic design to be adjusted. 3D models are also used to test compatibility and functioning of all components in reality.

1/ Information collection The feedback from racers of our professional teams is as important to us as the perceptions of common bike users. The geometry, material selection, pipe forming, composition of components, kinematics and many other aspects must be joined in a perfectly functional unit that brings the joy of bike riding to its user.

RIDING SMART

3/ Testing, testing, testing Aſter successful computer simulations the first functional prototypes are made and must pass stringent laboratory tests. During these

7

3

tests we fulfil even more stringent standards than conventional standards require. If the test results meet our expectations, the prototypes are passed for testing by our top racers, from whom we get further feedback. 4/ Serial production In order to have 100% control over the production of SUPERIOR bikes, we decided to concentrate all key processes in our headquarters, the factory in Kopřivnice in the Czech Republic. Each individual piece here undergoes strict output testing so that our customers receive a guaranteed quality product.

TESTED ON WORLD’S MOST CHALLENGING COURSES From the beginning of the history of the SUPERIOR brand, the success of our products has been built on close cooperation with professional riders and teams. Getting feedback from elite riders and teams is the basis for the research and development of our products. Our professional riders not only promote the brand image with their performance but also have another important role – they are our key test riders. When we started the development of a new carbon frame in 2011, we decided to pull together with professional riders from the UCI Elite Trade team of the first ever Olympic mountain bike champion Bart Brentjens. The specialization of the team on the elite events of the World Cup and the most challenging marathon races in the world was the guarantee that our prototypes are tested in really rough conditions, which will perfectly test them before putting into serial production.

However, the SUPERIOR bikes are also ridden by other elite racers with undeniable talent, to whom cycling is a matter of the heart. Their opinions and perceptions concerning our products are carefully monitored and evaluated. In addition to the international team Betch.nl SUPERIOR Brentjens we also support four national teams in Norway, Denmark and the Czech Republic: BETCH.NL SUPERIOR BRENTJENS SEPURA XC SUPERIOR (NOR) SUPERIOR DENMARK (DEN) SUPERIOR RUBENA (CZE) SUPERIOR RIDERS (CZE) SUPERIOR MTB ENERGY TEAM (POL)

26“ 27.5“ 29“

Larger wheels go less deep into holes and overcome obstacles under milder approach angle = smoother and faster ride.

What size to choose? For cyclists shorter than 170 cm, 29" wheels are partially problematic with regard to the optimum configuration of the frame geometry. The wheel diameter is too large and does not allow achievement of the necessary shortening of frame geometry to suit shorter cyclists. The SUPERIOR 2015 collection therefore includes 27.5" wheel alternatives, which we recommend for each model to everyone of smaller stature.

29” OR 27.5”? WHAT SIZE TO CHOOSE?

200

29“

190 180

Inertia in the terrain and on hard surfaces, easier passing over irregularities, stable track keeping and more certainty in riding over rough sections – all these advantages make wheels with a diameter of 29" and 27.5" an ideal choice for all lovers of mountain biking. Even the results of tests comparing traditional 26" wheels with 29" and 27.5" clearly speak in favour of the new standards. Terrain irregularities The large wheels succeed in overcoming barriers, such as roots, rocks and holes, much better than the 26" wheels. This is mainly due to the larger diameter, larger contact area of the tire, lower centre of gravity and greater inertia force. This makes off-road riding less strenuous and more comfortable.

Larger wheels have a larger contact area of the tyre with the ground = stronger grip without skidding, faster acceleration and shorter braking distance.

27.5“

170 160

Overcoming barriers Compared with 26" wheels, wheels with larger diameter overcome barriers under a smaller angle. Terrain irregularities can therefore be passed easier, which makes the ride smoother and safer. At the same time the risk of defect and damage to the rim is lower.

The 29" SUPERIOR models offer perfect inertia and continuity in overcoming barriers. In the SUPERIOR we still believe that this is the optimum size of the MTB wheels. Our 29" models are especially recommended for riders who are 170 – 205 cm tall. The 27.5" SUPERIOR models will be appreciated by riders who want a really aggressive and playful mountain bike for cross-country and marathon. A bike that is unmatched in its acceleration and still offers (even partially reduced) benefits of large wheels. Wheels with a diameter of 27.5" are primarily recommended for cyclists who are 140 – 180 cm tall.

SUPERIOR ADVANCED WHEEL TECHNOLOGY SAWT Lightweight, tough and durable spokes have a major impact on riding performance and wheel expression which is even more significant in case of large wheels with diameters of 29" and 27.5". Therefore, we have developed a sophisticated wheel building technology called SUPERIOR WHEEL ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, for which we use the latest spoking OT robots

WEIGHT SAVINGS The low rotational weight of wheels is the key to lightning-quick acceleration. Individual components of the wheel building - rims, butted spokes and aluminium nipples - as well as tires and tubes are selected with regard to the minimum weight. A thorough stress analysis allows us to reduce the number of spokes from the standard 32 to 28 for MTB bikes and 24 for road bikes, without any negative impact on the strength, durability and safety of the wheels. Due to this combination, we can save up to 15% of weight per wheel manufactured by using the SAWT technology.

from Holland Mechanics. Wheels manufactured using our original SAWT technology help us to optimize the racing potential of selected SUPERIOR models. Note. You can find the SAWT wheels at the selected models of the following categories: MTB Race Carbon Pro, MTB Race Carbon, MTB Race, MTB Race FS, Road Race Carbon, Road Race

STIFFNESS FOR A PERFECT POWER TRANSFER A quality spoking must be able to convert the power from the pedals onto forward motion most efficiently. The wheel must not be deformed, in order to avoid unwanted loss of energy. The achieving of a high stiffness of building requires the combination of two different types of butted spokes. In sections with lower building load we use multi-butted spokes with a diameter of 2.0 - 1.5 - 2.0 mm. On the side of the rear wheel cassette with the highest building load we choose thicker spokes of 2.0 – 1.8 -2.0 mm.

BETTER RIDING PERFORMANCE For MTB building we use wider rims that increase the volume of the tire, thereby improving traction, shock absorption capacity and significantly reducing the risk of defects (perforation). The ZTR rims also allow for quick and easy conversion to a tubeless system, which may further improve riding characteristics and even greater weight savings.

OWN WHEEL BUILDING The wheel building is a complex sophisticated process, the quality of which reflects the quality of each bicycle as a whole. In the BFI the wheel building is one of the key processes in which the company invests high amounts of money and time. The wheel building of all SUPERIOR wheels is therefore made by automatic I. S. L. machinery of the Dutch brand Holland Mechanics directly in our plant in Kopřivnice. Part of our technological equipment is the most advanced centring OT Robot, which allows more accurate tightening of spokes with the possibility of using lightweight aluminium nipples.

12

Also fully automated are all the other bike production processes. Straps to all wheels are applied using a strapping machine with stabilizer; tubes and tires are put on by using the TMC tiring machines. RESISTANCE, DURABILITY Another key quality criterion is the resistance and overall durability of the building. In the laboratories of the development centre of the renowned spoke manufacturer SAPIM we carefully optimize the tension of each of the spokes for each side of the building in order to prevent their breakage, as well as overloading of rims and hub flanges. The SAWT wheels are thus able to guarantee high reliability with minimum maintenance requirements.

During an eight-hour shiſt, 22 employees of our wheel building department can make 800 pairs of wheels. Spoking of one wheel pair takes on average 70 to 80 seconds, depending on the complexity of the spokes.

RIDING SMART

WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

RELIABILITY, LOW MAINTENANCE The SAWT technology wheels use precisely processed hubs by the renowned manufacturer Bitex with six industrial bearings (4 in rear / 2 in the front hub), which guarantee smooth operation and long life with minimum maintenance requirements. The patented system of six latches provides instant and reliable traction and highly efficient energy transfer. Sophisticated hub construction allows for quick and easy conversion of axles and freewheel body to all commonly used standards. The Bitex hubs are extremely light-weight at the same time.

BENEFITS OF MTB RACE CARBON LONGER WITH FULL SPEED The riding comfort is not just about comfort, it also helps to save the power of riders for the final metres, where the top races are oſten decided. The key to the comfort of SUPERIOR carbon bikes is high flexion of the upper part of the frame that perfectly absorbs vibrations from terrain irregularities.

Extremely lightweight, extremely precise steering, excellent track keeping, excellent transfer of energy onto move forward – these are the main reasons to invest in carbon models. FAST UPHILL RIDING The heavier the bike, the more force the rider needs to get uphill. All components are therefore selected with regard to the lowest possible weight of the bike without affecting its safety, stability, durability and maintenance requirements.

CONTROLLED DOWNHILL RIDING In case of malfunctioning suspension the wheels lose contact with the ground, which makes riding difficult and increases the risk of flat tyres and falls. On SUPERIOR bikes, you will find only proven suspension forks by renowned manufacturers RockShox and DT Swiss that will make you ride faster and more accurate.

MTB RACE CARBON FASTER AND MORE CONTROLLABLE The MTB Race Carbon models are intended for racers who are looking for a really fast and perfectly manoeuvrable bike to help them reap the most from the drudgery of training. The SUPERIOR carbon models have achieved success on extremely challenging tracks in the cross-country World Cup and the most difficult marathon races in the world. They are built on an incredibly lightweight frame, impressing with their stiffness, perfect power transmission and excellent manoeuvring in downhills. They accelerate immediately whenever you need to accelerate and take your opponents on. The category of MTB RACE CARBON hardtails is the heart and soul of the SUPERIOR brand. We developed the carbon racing models specifically for riding on challenging cross-country and marathon tracks. MTB Race CRB Pro / MTB Race CRB frame stiffness

EXCELLENT MANOEUVRING  PRECISE TURNING Valuable seconds can be gained by accurate and sure turning - the SUPERIOR frame geometry is designed so that the bike immediately responds to each command of the rider. Precise track keeping is enhanced by high torsional stiffness, which is achieved using a thru-axle in both wheels and the conical fork pillar.

Team models MTB RACE CARBON PRO are built on the lightest possible frame of the Hi-Modulus premium carbon fibres weighing less than 1 kilogram. It is a pure racing machine, sophisticated in detail, fully performance-oriented without any compromise. Mid-Modulus carbon fibres used in XP models of the MTB RACE CARBON series allow us to offer the frame with excellent stiffness and weight ratio, including all technologies and the proven racing geometry of team models to the widest possible group of cyclists.

FAST ON THE TRACK Our riders need to capitalize all the energy from each pedal stroke to the maximum extent, in order to succeed in the toughest races in the world. The high stiffness of the most stressed MTB parts of the SUPERIOR frames is essential with regard to the efficient transfer of energy for moving forward, and the resulting riding speed.

INSTANT ACCELERATION You cannot escape the laws of physics. The higher the mass of the rotating parts of the wheel, the more time and power you need to get them moving. For the SUPERIOR bikes, we choose the combination of lightest rims, tires and tubes, which provide lightning-speed acceleration and help riders conserve valuable energy.

RIDING SMART solutions For SUPERIOR bikes we use a range of smart solutions enabling you to bring maximum performance and facilitating service and maintenance. A general example: we use wide rims, which increase the volume of the tires, thereby improving their adhesion to the ground, and significantly reducing the risk of defects.

TECHNOLOGY MTB CARBON FRAMES SUPERIOR We have developed one of the lightest serial MTB frames for large wheels which, however, due to the sophisticated design and use of premium materials and technologies meet the strictest standards of stiffness and reliability. Qualities evidenced by the TOP Performance certificate of the renowned German independent laboratory eFBE. The optimum stiffness and weight ratio for each frame is achieved by a well-defined layering and orientation of more than 350 carbon segments. A higher volume of material is concentrated in critically loaded parts; in less loaded parts the material is reduced to the minimum.

Dynamic Tube Shaping Shaping the SUPERIOR frames is never a mere designer caprice – all sections and tube profiles, as well as further details, are designed primarily with regard to 100% functionality. Therefore, we use our own designing principle Dynamic Tube Shaping: Imagine a frame diagonally cut in an upper and a lower half. The lower part must be as rigid as possible to transmit all the energy from pedalling without loss and to allow precise bike control. The upper part should act as a damper of vibrations caused by irregularities. This solution allows stiffness and flexibility to be combined into one unit – a frame that accelerates amazingly and at the same time allows riders to stay long hours in the saddle, even in the roughest terrain. HEAD TUBE SECTION During the ride, the connection of the lower frame and head tube is exposed to extreme stress from terrain irregularities and other forces. We therefore decided for a really robust solution of the connection of the lower frame tube with conical head tube so that they form one massive, perfectly solid unit. The chosen approach in combination with the tapered fork pillar allows the models of the SUPERIOR Race Carbon category to be precisely controlled and guarantees that your bike will immediately and safely respond to changes of direction even in the most difficult terrain.

FLEXIBLE SEAT STAYS A precisely defined flattening of seat stays allows the frame to be flexible in the vertical direction, without affecting an efficient energy transfer when pedalling. The frame is thus able to absorb shocks from terrain irregularities, which reduces fatigue and saves energy.

ROBUST CHAIN STAYS The massive construction of chain stays eliminates frame deformation even under extreme loading, which occurs during intense pedalling from the saddle. By using 12 mm thru-axle the chain stays are connected into a single super rigid structural unit, which makes you confident that your pedalling will be fully capitalized in forward motion.

18

MTB RACE CARBON

SELECTION OF THE MTB RACE CARBON TECHNOLOGIES

ULTRASHORT REAR TRIANGLE The deflection of the seat tube above the bottom bracket and direct mount front derailleur allow us to shorten up the rear triangle of the frame to the maximum extent and to bring the rear wheel closer to BB, which makes the SUPERIOR bikes more agile and manoeuvrable in sharp turns. The shorter rear triangle also increases the frame stiffness and improves the transfer of energy from pedalling into forward motion. Benefits of this solution? Better acceleration and precise control of your bike.

RIDING SMART

SOLID CENTRAL PART The stiffness of the central part is essential for perfect power transfer and sure control. This part of the frame is extremely stressed by the own weight of the rider and by the forces from pedalling. We have therefore designed the unique shape of the lower frame tube with a characteristic extension in the lower part, which perfectly follows on the oversize bottom bracket PF30 and conical seat tube, providing maximum stiffness in the middle. The result is an extremely rigid frame that guarantees the maximum efficiency of the energy transfer into forward motion.

CARBON RACE PRO. The result of using the finest Japanese High-Modulus carbon fibres is a frame with a weight of less than 1 kg and uncompromising stiffness for the most efficient power transmission and precise control.

CARBON RACE. Superior stiffness, weight and durability are achieved thanks to the use of Mid-Modulus high-quality carbon fibres.

DYNAMIC TUBE SHAPING. The design concept utilizes the solid bottom part of the frame to the maximum extent for a highly efficient energy transfer and the flexible upper part for optimal capacity to absorb vibrations from terrain irregularities. The result is a powerful and comfortable frame.

SUPER SHORT REAR STAY. Due to the bent seat tube the rear wheel moves closer to the centre of pedalling, thereby shortening the rear triangle. This significantly improves the manoeuvring of the bike and optimizes the transfer of energy from pedalling.

TAPERED HEAD TUBE. Conical head tube utilizes the lower bearing with a larger diameter, which increases the life of the headset and provides greater rigidity for more precise control, track keeping and efficient energy transfer.

POWER TRANSFER POINT. Extremely stiff connection of tubes around the bottom bracket area provides uncompromising rigidity of the most stressed middle part of the frame. The frame does not twist even during intense pedalling and all the energy is perfectly transferred into forward movement.

PRESS FIT 30. The oversize bottom bracket Press Fit PF30 provides our frames with high lateral rigidity which ensures efficient energy transfer.

INNER POST MOUNT. Installation of the rear brake calliper on robust chain stays eliminates unwanted vibration during heavy braking and allows easier and more flexible design of seat stays for better absorption of terrain irregularities.

DIRECT MOUNT. The direct mounting of the front derailleur saves weight, facilitates installation and setup, and contributes to precise shiſting.

DIRECT MOUNT REAR DERAILLEUR. The oversize bottom bracket Press Fit PF30 provides our frames with high lateral rigidity which ensures efficient energy transfer.

INNER CABLE ROUTING. Cleaner appearance, smoother shiſting operation, longer life and lower weight. Inner cable routing protects shiſting against dirt and extends its life. The result is more precise shiſting with minimum maintenance requirements and clean bike design.

12x142. The 142x12 thru-axle is 35% stiffer than the classic open dropout. The result is the most efficient energy transfer from the pedals to forward motion and precise control.

BENEFITS OF MTB RACE

Aluminium SUPERIOR MTB models of the premium alloy Alu X6 Ultralite borrow the geometry and a number of technologies from their carbon siblings, including the uncompromising racing setting.

INSTANT ACCELERATION You cannot escape the laws of physics. The higher the mass of the rotating parts of the wheel, the more time and power you need to get them moving. For the SUPERIOR bikes, we choose the combination of lightest rims, tires and tubes, which provide lightningspeed acceleration and help riders conserve valuable energy.

RIDING SMART solutions For SUPERIOR bikes we use a range of smart solutions enabling you to bring maximum performance and facilitating service and maintenance. A general example: the inner cable routing protects the cables from dirt, ensuring precise and reliable operation of shiſting even under the toughest conditions.

CONTROLLED DOWNHILL RIDING In case of malfunctioning suspension the wheels lose contact with the ground, which makes the manoeuvring difficult and increases the risk of defects and falls. On SUPERIOR bikes you will find only proven suspension forks by renowned manufacturers Rock Shox and DT Swiss that will make you ride faster and more accurate.

MTB RACE

AN AFFORDABLE RACING WEAPON We are well aware that many bikers are looking for an affordable and reliable racing bike for marathon, crosscountry or challenging rides. In addition, among cyclists there is still a large group of hardcore fans of aluminium who swear on this proven material. The SUPERIOR models of the MTB Race series are intended just for them.

Our aluminium frames from the premium alloy Alu X6 Ultralite have identical geometry and a similar design and technology as their siblings from the MTB Race Carbon series. At the same time they still offer excellent power transfer and riding comfort as well as low weight.

BRAKING UNDER CONTROL Powerful brakes with smooth onset of braking action allow you to brake later, thus saving precious seconds and energy. At the same time, you will have more control over the bike. All SUPERIOR models are therefore equipped with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, which are incomparable due to their high performance while spending minimum operating force.

27

MTB RACE

FAST ON THE TRAIL Anyone who rides a bike with a little sporting ambition requires maximum capitalization of all the energy from pedalling. The SUPERIOR aluminium frames are designed with a highly rigid lower part of the frame, which is crucial with respect to the efficient transfer of energy for moving forward, and the resulting riding speed. At the same time we have not forgotten about riding comfort, so you can enjoy riding in the saddle as long as possible.

RIDING SMART

EXCELLENT MANOEUVRING – PRECISE TURNING Valuable seconds can be obtained by accurate and sure turning - the SUPERIOR frame geometry is designed so that the bike immediately responds to each command of the rider. Precise track keeping is enhanced by high torsional stiffness, which is achieved using a thru-axle in both wheels and the conical fork pillar.

RIDING SMART WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

RIDING SMART WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

TECHNOLOGY SUPERIOR ALUMINIUM MTB FRAMES Aluminium frames of the MTB Race series are produced from the Alu X6 Ultralite alloy, which is 35% stronger while saving 10% of weight compared to the commonly used alloy of the 6061 series. Advanced technology of hydroforming tube shaping allows us to apply the construction method DynamicTubeShaping on aluminium frames. In this way we not only achieve almost identical appearance to that of carbon frames, but also a unique combination of uncompromising rigidity and high vibration absorption capacity that makes the SUPERIOR frames so popular among racers.

DynamicTubeShaping Shaping the SUPERIOR frames is never a mere designer caprice – all sections and tube profiles, as well as further details, are designed primarily with regard to 100% functionality. Therefore, we use our own designing principle DynamicTubeShaping: Imagine a frame diagonally cut in an upper and a lower half. The lower part must be as rigid as possible to transmit all the energy from pedalling without loss and to allow precise bike control. The upper part acts as a damper of vibrations caused by irregularities. The chosen approach in combination with the tapered fork pillar allows the models of the SUPERIOR MTB Race category to be precisely controlled and guarantees that your bike will immediately and safely respond to changes of direction even in the most difficult terrain.

FLEXIBLE SEAT STAYS A precisely defined flattening of seat stays allowing the frame to be flexible in the vertical direction, without affecting an efficient energy transfer when pedalling.

28

MTB RACE

SELECTION OF THE MTB RACE TECHNOLOGIES

WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

29

ALU X6 ULTRALITE. The premium alloy Alu X6 Ultralite has a 35% higher stiffness at 10% weight saving against the standard alloy 6061.

INNER CABLE ROUTING. Cleaner appearance, smoother shiſting operation, longer life and lower weight. Inner cable routing protects shiſting against dirt and extends its life. The result is more precise shiſting with minimum maintenance requirements and clean bike design.

15MM. 15 mm thru-axle of the front wheel increases the torsional stiffness of the fork and ensures precise control and track keeping.

AIR FORK. The air fork allows you to set the suspension exactly according to your weight and your preferred riding style. The air suspension is extremely sensitive and convenient.

REMOTE LOCK OUT. The Lockout control from the handlebar allows the fork operation to be locked in seconds without taking your hands off the handlebars. This means that you will always have 100% control over your bike.

2x10. The performance-oriented system provides a wide range of gears even for the steepest climbs. Compared to a traditional triple chain ring it saves weight.

BENEFITS OF MTB RACE FS

Smoother and faster passage through technical sections, excellent acceleration and no annoying swinging in sections where you need to heavily pedal. We are really proud of the MTB RACE FS models!

FAST UPHILL RIDING The heavier the bike, the more force the rider needs to get uphill. All components are therefore selected with regard to the lowest possible weight of the bike without affecting its safety, stability, durability and maintenance requirements.

MORE EXPERIENCES, LESS FATIGUE The SUPERIOR full suspension bikes allow you to fully pedal in the saddle even in a terrain where you would get up off the saddle on your hardtail bike. The suspension compensates for terrain irregularities and keeps the rear tire in constant contact with the ground, thus saving the rider's energy. These features will be appreciated especially at the end of long races, when you no longer have energy to spare.

RIDING WITHOUT LOSS OF ENERGY Anyone who rides a bike with a little sporting ambition requires maximum capitalization of all the energy from pedalling. The frames of the MTB Race FS category have a perfectly sophisticated kinematics, which does not respond to the movements of a rider when pedalling, thus preventing unwanted loss of energy, even in sections where it is necessary to pedal with the maximum effort.

EXCELLENT MANOEUVRING  PRECISE TURNING Valuable seconds can be obtained by accurate and sure turning – the SUPERIOR frame geometry is designed so that the bike immediately responds to each command of the rider. Precise track keeping is enhanced by high torsional stiffness, which is achieved using a thru-axle in both wheels and the conical fork pillar.

MTB RACE FULLSUSPENSION SMOOTH MEANS FAST!

Full suspension bikes of the MTBS RACE FS series are designed for everyone who likes racing and who wants a bike that allows them to fully pedal even in difficult terrain without having to get up off the saddle. Faster passage through the broken sections while exerting less energy is especially important for marathon riders, whose races last many hours. Just choose whether you prefer a 29" pure racing model with 100 mm travel or 120 mm version on 27.5" wheels for more playful and technical riding. Like our hardtails, the SUPERIOR full suspension models must have excellent parameters in terms of acceleration, comfort and precise control. The basic construction element of all models of the MTB RACE FS series is the unique kinematics of the rear suspension ensuring maximum sensitivity of its operation while accentuating the efficient transfer of power from pedalling and fast acceleration. Outstanding qualities of the SUPERIOR full suspension models are achieved thanks to the use of multi-butted frame tubes from the premium ALU X6 Ultralite alloy.

TECHNOLOGY RACE FULL-SUSPENSION KINEMATICS The development of the XF series of full suspension bikes was really hard, but the result is worth the effort! We created bikes combining the proven XP series frame basis of the premium Alu X6 Ultralite alloy with a highly efficient rear

100% UTILIZATION OF THE WHOLE STROKE The damper is connected to the rocker using the SmartLink element, which optimizes power transfer in the last third of the stroke, where other systems usually do not work linearly, and the suspension instead stiffens or gets lost. With SmartLink the suspension characteristic is continuous throughout the entire travel and allows its 100% utilization.

SELECTION OF THE MTB RACE FULL SUSPENSION TECHNOLOGIES

wheel suspension system SUPERIOR Advanced Kinematic, thus shiſting the riding experience in the terrain into another dimension.

CUSTOM TUNED SHOCKS The damper characteristics and setting are crucial for the proper function of the rear suspension. For our bikes we use only the dampers of the renowned brands RockShock tuned exclusively for SUPERIOR frames.

HIGH DAMPING SENSITIVITY Our kinematics operates with low ratio between the rear wheel and the travel of the piston rod. Therefore the forces acting on the stays are small and allow work with lower pressures in the shock, which significantly increases the sensitivity of the rear suspension. The result? The bike negotiates even the smallest terrain irregularities smoothly and offers excellent riding comfort.

INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION The carefully designed position of the main pivot provides high value of anti-squat parameter, i.e. the distance between the rear thru-axle and the centre of pedalling remains constant. This avoids unpleasant "pulling" of the chain that you feel in the pedals when riding in a really difficult terrain and pedalling hard. The suspension does not affect the performance of the rider and the rider does not affect its function even when pedalling with maximum effort.

HIGH LATERAL STIFFNESS The position of the rear pivot allows us to position the rear wheel axle and brake calliper directly on the robust chain stays, that have sufficient rigidity to reliably absorb any forces generated by pedalling and braking. The result is a perfectly accelerating bike and zero vibration at the rear triangle even during intense braking.

BENEFITS OF MTB SPORT

The comfort of large wheels, cleverly selected tires, the sporting genes of our racing models, upright geometry helping to prevent back pain – these are the main benefits that have gained the MTB SPORT models thousands of fans throughout Europe.

RIDING WITHOUT PAIN A more upright riding position and comfortoriented geometry of the frame are a reliable way to avoid troublesome back pain. The sensitive suspension fork, comfortable seat and ergonomically shaped grips absorb unpleasant vibrations.

SPORTING DNA Even if you do not directly plan to compete on your bike, you will certainly appreciate good energy transmission from pedalling into forward motion, reliable track keeping and natural control. For this reason we use the know-how and technology of our racing models even for the sport models of the MTB Sport category.

EASY AND SAFE CONTROL Due to the wide handlebars, you will have more stability on the bike while operating it more easily and safely.

EASY RIDING Large wheels with a diameter of 29" or 27.5" can overcome terrain irregularities more easily - the ride is smoother, faster and requires less effort. The larger contact surface between the tires and the ground leads to more secure control and better traction without skidding.

MTB SPORT

ENJOYABLE RIDE IN THE NATURE A lot of cyclists go outdoors mainly to share the experience with their friends. And even though they don't compete with their bikes, they still have high requirements and want to really enjoy every ride. The SUPERIOR brand responded to these needs with the models of the SPORT MTB category: Lightweight, durable, perfectly controllable bikes that provide riding comfort and confidence in a difficult terrain as well as when riding on paved surfaces or in the city. The bikes of the MTB SPORT series are designed with a shorter and more upright seating position, thus making them perfectly controllable and comfortable. The more comfortable seating position also has another advantage that you will appreciate on your first long ride: It helps prevent unpleasant back pain.

SELECTION OF THE MTB SPORT TECHNOLOGIES

€ 799

DOUBLE BUTTED. Double butting of frame tubes reduces the material where needed. This technology reduces the weight of the tubes and increases their rigidity.

SPEED LOCK OUT. The Speed lockout allows easy and fast lock out of the suspension fork. On smooth and paved roads you will not have to waste energy on unwanted swinging.

3x9. The sports-oriented system provides a wide range of gears and reliable operation with minimum maintenance requirements.

3x8. Reliable shiſting system for everyday use with durability and minimum maintenance requirements in even the toughest conditions.

XC 829 / XC 827

SHIMANO QUALITY. The Shimano brand is a guarantee of high quality, durability and reliability of all components.

COMFORT GEOMET RY. The basis of the comfortable geometry is a secure and stable control of the bike and an upright seating position that helps to prevent back and wrist pain.

44

MTB SPORT

DISC BRAKES. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure high and easily controlled braking performance in all conditions with minimum operating force. All this with minimum maintenance requirements.

EASY HANDLING CONCEPT. Due to the wide handlebars and the oversize stems, you will have more stability on the bike and the bike will be easier and safer to ride.

RIDING SMART

READY TO ACCESORY. The Superior frames are ready for quick and easy mounting of accessories. You can equip your bike with mudguards, a carrier or a bike stand in seconds.

RIDING SMART WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

BENEFITS OF MTB LADY

We always try to design bikes that reflect the specific needs of their users. Stylish design, comfort, excellent manoeuvrability, ease of riding and, last but not least, clever shaping of frame tubes facilitating mounting and dismounting from the bike are the main elements on which we based our MODO collection for women.

EASY RIDING The components are selected with regard to reliable performance, long life, low maintenance requirements and mainly comfort, so you can fully enjoy riding! Every female biker will appreciate the ergonomically shaped lady-saddles for maximum comfort even during long rides.

SHAPED FOR WOMEN The bikes of the MODO series are designed according to the specific needs of female bikers. The geometry, design, component selection - all this is strictly adapted to the female physique. The most significant element is the lowered upper tube for easier and safer getting on and off the bike.

EASY AND SAFE CONTROL Due to the wide handlebars, you will have more stability on the bike while the bike is easier and safer to operate.

EASY RIDING Large wheels with a diameter of 29" or 27.5" can overcome terrain irregularities more easily - the ride is smoother, more comfortable and requires less effort. The larger contact surface between the tires and the ground leads to more secure control and better traction without skidding.

Be trendy! Design and style are the alpha and omega of a women's bike. The design is therefore assigned to experienced female designers from the LaTaupe studio so you can be sure that your bike will always be in line with the latest fashion trends.

RIDING SMART solutions Just like a bad choice of tires increases fuel consumption in cars, a much too rough tread reduces energy when riding a bike. The tires are therefore selected with regard to the minimum rolling resistance, so you can cover more miles with less effort / fatigue.

MTB LADY

LIGHT, MANOEUVRABLE AND STYLISH Female cyclists do not generally need to push their limits, race against time and increase their adrenaline when riding rough downhill trails. They just want to enjoy the time spent in nature on the bike, and their expectations from the bike are completely different than men's. They look mainly for safe, easy and, of course, stylish bikes that have good and natural handling. Bikes that can briskly ride on asphalt surfaces and are reliable even in a more rugged terrain. Bikes that can be easily mounted and safely dismounted at any time... Allow us to introduce our MODO collection, specially designed by women for women.

BENEFITS OF ROAD RACE CARBON LONGER WITH FULL SPEED Riding comfort is not just about comfort; it also helps the riders save power. Compact sloping geometry combined with subtle seat stays is designed for high-frequency vibration absorption ability, making the ride more comfortable.

Excellent power transmission, ultra-secure braking in all weather conditions and the necessary level of comfort for cyclists who participate in really long road marathons. These are the main benefits of our ROAD RACE CARBON models. FAST UPHILL RIDING The heavier the bike, the more force the rider needs to get uphill. All components are therefore selected with regard to the lowest possible weight of the bike without affecting its safety, stability, durability and maintenance requirements.

EXCELLENT MANOEUVRING  PRECISE TURNING Valuable seconds can be gained by accurate and sure turning – the SUPERIOR road frame geometry is designed so that the bike reliably responds to each command of the rider. Precise track keeping is enhanced by high torsional stiffness, which is achieved using a thru-axle in both wheels and the conical fork pillar.

INSTANT ACCELERATION You cannot escape the laws of physics. The higher the mass of the rotating parts of the wheel, the more time and power you need to get them moving. For the SUPERIOR bikes we choose the combination of lightest rims, tires and tubes, which provide lightning-quick acceleration and help riders conserve valuable energy.

ROAD RACE CARBON MADE FOR SPEED

The bikes of the Carbon Road Race category have been developed mainly with regard to speed. Our goal was to create a bike that perfectly transmits energy to forward motion and is perfectly controllable. A bike that gives riders a clear advantage over rivals in the peloton - whether professional cyclists or a group of friends. When the race starts, it's do or die… In order to achieve our goal, we are not afraid to employ the most advanced technologies, such as thru-axles for maximum rigidity or hydraulic disc brakes with which you can handle even the most difficult downhills.

62

ROAD RACE CARBON

NEW IN 2015 Hydraulic disc brakes for reliable and responsive braking in all situations Thru-axles for extremely efficient power transmission and precise control Premium bikes DT Swiss with the Spline technology (Team Issue Di2/Team Issue) Compact crank sets with a wider transmissions range Wider tires for better comfort, traction and aerodynamics Impressive combination of matte and glossy frame stickers

RIDING SMART solutions For SUPERIOR bikes we use a range of smart solutions enabling you to achieve maximum performance and facilitating service and maintenance. A general example: The massive central section in combination with oversize bottom bracket allows the highest possible stiffness for perfect power transmission from pedalling.

63

ROAD RACE CARBON

FAST ON THE ROAD If you want to ride your bike really fast, you need to capitalize all the energy from pedalling to the maximum extent. The high stiffness of the most stressed parts of the SUPERIOR road frames is essential with regard to the efficient transfer of energy for moving forward, and the resulting riding speed.

RIDING SMART

DOWNHILL RIDING UNDER CONTROL Thanks to the strong Shimano hydraulic road disc brakes, worn rims, dangerous defects from overheated tubes and poor efficiency in the rain are now things of the past. Hydraulic road disc brakes with perfectly smooth running, precise distribution of power and high performance in all riding conditions allow cyclists to control the bike more safely and with better control when riding downhill or cornering.

TECHNOLOGY SUPERIOR CARBON ROAD FRAMES The SUPERIOR carbon road frames just like the top models of the MTB category have been designed with an emphasis on maximum performance. The key elements of these frames are a perfect transmission of power, low weight, outstanding aerodynamics and excellent riding comfort. Carefully chosen geometry, thanks to which the rider has full control over his bike in every riding situation, must of course correspond with these characteristics.

SELECTION OF ROAD RACE CARBON TECHNOLOGIES

Maximum stiffness, precise handling, outstanding comfort Even in case of road frames, these characteristics could be achieved due to the DynamicTubeShaping construction method. Its result is a robust bottom part of the frame, ensuring lossless transmission of energy, and subtle seat stays and upper tube with a high-frequency vibration absorption capacity.

FLEXIBLE SEAT STAYS A precisely defined flattening of seat stays allowing the frame to be flexible in the vertical direction, without affecting efficient energy transfer when pedalling. The frame is thus able to absorb shocks from terrain irregularities, which reduces fatigue and saves the rider's energy.

FULL CARBON FORK The full carbon fork design allows high torsional stiffness necessary for accurate track keeping and steering precision, while preserving the high-frequency vibration absorption capacity, enhancing riding comfort. All this with minimum weight.

64

ROAD RACE CARBON

DYNAMIC TUBE SHAPING. The design concept utilizes the solid bottom part of the frame to the maximum extent for a highly efficient energy transfer and the flexible upper part for optimal capacity to absorb vibrations from terrain irregularities. The result is a powerful and comfortable frame.

INNER CABLE ROUTING. Cleaner appearance, smoother shiſting operation, longer life and lower weight. Inner cable routing protects shiſting against dirt and extends its life. The result is more precise shiſting with minimum maintenance requirements and clean bike design.

Di-2READY. The frame preparation for electronic shiſting allows an easy and quick additional installation of the Di-2 system with 100% inner cable routing for a clean appearance.

12x142 The 142x12 thru-axle is 35% stiffer than the classic open dropout. The result is the most efficient energy transfer from the pedals to forward motion and precise control.

15MM 15 mm thru-axle of the front wheel increases the torsional stiffness of the fork and ensures precise control and track keeping.

CARBON FORK. Carbon fork offers high torsional stiffness and capacity to absorb vibrations while maintaining minimum weight. The result is precise bike control and high comfort even on poor-quality roads.

HEAD TUBE SECTION The frame twisting in the area of the head tube has negative impact on the accuracy of steering and power transmission. We have therefore created a massive connection between the lower frame tube with the conical head tube, resulting in a compact unit of maximum rigidity, preventing unwanted loss of energy and guaranteeing precise control.

1100% INNER ROUTING All the cables and hydraulic hoses are routed inside the frame, which gives the bike a clean and compact appearance. The cables are at the same time protected from dirt, which helps maintain smooth, accurate shiſting for a long time.

PLACING BRAKES ON CHAIN STAYS By placing the brake calliper inside the rear triangle the annoying vibrations during heavy braking are eliminated and the weight of the frame is reduced. The load from the rear brake is thus only absorbed by massive chain stays, which allows a much more subtle design of seat stays. The result brings indisputable riding benefits: further weight reduction and increase of riding comfort.

CARBON RACE. Superior stiffness, weight and durability are achieved thanks to the use of Mid-Modulus highquality carbon fibres.

SOLID CENTRAL PART By combining robust chain stays, the conical seat tube, oversize bottom bracket and massive bottom tube we have achieved an uncompromising rigidity of the most stressed part of the frame. Thus, the frame does not twist even during intense pedalling and all the energy is perfectly transferred into forward movement.

RIDING SMART

THRUAXLES Thru-axles connect both sides of the fork in one rigid structural unit, thus preventing twisting of the frame and eliminating energy loss, e.g. in case of intense pedalling from the saddle, and significantly improving steering and track keeping precision. As load caused by pedalling or braking is absorbed by both sides of the fork at the same time, less material can be used on each side – the result is a higher stiffness while reducing weight.

ROAD RACE A TRUE RACER

Many cyclists purchase a road bike as a second model to their mountain bike. Or they just don't want to invest large amounts of money in a carbon special. However, they expect that their bike will be really fast, comfortable and yet still lightweight. We can satisfy these demands too. The models of the SUPERIOR ROAD RACE series are built on the frames of the premium aluminium Alu X6 Ultralite alloy and utilize many of the advanced technologies of their carbon counterparts.

NEW IN 2015 New design of ONE components High quality seats Selle Royal Seta Performa Radial building of front wheels for lower weight, higher stiffness and attractive appearance Wider tires for better comfort, traction and aerodynamics

The aluminium ROAD RACE models offer an excellent ratio between weight, stiffness and comfort, which is enhanced by the use of a carbon-fork absorbing shocks from terrain irregularities. Due to a compact crank-set with a wider range of gears you no longer have to worry about any ascents.

70

BENEFITS OF CROSS SPORT

The SUPERIOR cross bikes are always ready to meet a wide range of riding styles, oſten required by their owners. They are fast on asphalt, reliable in the terrain, allow easy handling plus they are always ready for the installation of bike-bags and other accessories in case of trips lasting many days.

RIDING SMART solutions For the SUPERIOR bikes we use a range of smart solutions that increase riding pleasure. A general example - the tires with reflective strip not only look good, but can save your life when riding at night!

RIDING WITHOUT PAIN Back pain can spoil any bike ride. This is why SUPERIOR cross bikes are designed with a more upright riding position eliminating this risk. The sensitive suspension fork, comfortable seat and ergonomically shaped grips provide extra comfort.

IT FITS LIKE A GLOVE Each tool has to fit perfectly in your hand and the same applies to a bike. The shape of the handlebar and grips must therefore be chosen with respect to perfect ergonomics, so that the control of your bike is as natural and safe as possible.

TAKE A RIDE RIGHT NOW! Don't waste time with lengthy installation of accessories. Thanks to specially prepared postmounts, the fitting of mudguards, carriers, or stands onto a SUPERIOR bike takes just seconds.

MORE EXPERIENCES Do not let a poorly functioning bike spoil your riding pleasure. For SUPERIOR bikes we choose proven Shimano components that ensure reliability, long life and minimum maintenance requirements.

LESS EFFORT Just like a bad choice of tires increases fuel consumption in cars, a much too rough tread reduces energy when riding a bike. The tires are therefore selected with regard to the minimum rolling resistance, so you can cover more miles with less effort / fatigue.

CROSS SPORT A PERFECT ALLROUNDER

A modern cross bike must master a wide range of riding styles. We are proud of the fact that the SUPERIOR cross models are perfect all-rounders. They are fast on asphalt, reliable on gavel and not afraid of lighter terrain. With all this they still offer high riding comfort and affordability. Our CROSS SPORT models are also prepared for easy and quick installation of stands, fenders and other accessories necessary for everyday cycling adventures. The basis of the success of our cross bikes is the choice of quality components, as well as a shorter and more upright seating position, which guarantees comfort and easy handling.

DOUBLE BUTTED. Double butting of frame tubes reduces the material where needed. This technology reduces the weight of the tubes and increases their rigidity.

SPEED LOCK OUT. The Speed lockout allows easy and fast lock out of the suspension fork. On smooth and paved roads you will not have to waste energy on unwanted swinging.

SHIMANO QUALITY. The Shimano brand is a guarantee of high quality, durability and reliability of all components.

DISC BRAKES. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure high and easily controlled braking performance in all conditions with minimum operating force. All this with minimum maintenance requirements.

LINEAR PULL BRAKES. Reliable V-brakes require minimum braking power, making their operation easy even for very young children.

COMFORTABLE GRIPS. The ergonomically designed grips provide a high level of comfort as well as a firm and secure grip.

RX 590 DISC

READY TO ACCESORY. The Superior frames are ready for quick and easy mounting of accessories. You can equip your bike with mudguards, a carrier or a bike stand in seconds.

COMFORT GEOMETRY. The basis of the comfortable geometry is a secure and stable control of the bike and an upright seating position that helps to prevent back and wrist pain.

78

CROSS SPORT

EASYRIDE ROLLING TYRES. Tyres with low rolling resistance save your energy and allow you to cover greater distances with less effort.

EASY HANDLING CONCEPT. Due to the wide handlebars and the oversize stems, you will have more stability on the bike and the bike will be easier and safer to ride.

RIDING SMART

VISIBILITY FOR SAFETY. Reflective elements. To be seen = to stay alive. Thanks to the tyres with reflective strips you will be seen in road traffic even when visibility is poor.

RIDING SMART WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

BENEFITS OF JUNIOR & KIDS

The design of the SUPERIOR children's bikes has a clear goal. To create a bike which kids enjoy riding. All key parameters of the bike, such as weight, geometry, ergonomics and function of individual components are therefore adapted for young users. EASY AND SAFE CONTROL Even the best brakes are useless if the child can't operate them. For SUPERIOR bikes we therefore use brake levers designed specifically for children's hands. We choose the other components equally carefully in order to make the bike control for the child easy and safe.

IT GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD SUPERIOR children's bikes are designed to allow adaptation to a wide range of body heights of riders - the bike can "grow" with your child for several years. The lowered upper frame tube facilitates safe getting on and off the bike.

JUNIOR & KIDS THE TRUE RIDING STARTS TODAY

As your children grow, they also improve their cycling skills. The temptation to go farther, discover new places and experience adventure becomes stronger. It could be trips with parents, aſternoon games with classmates, first MTB races – in all cases, however, your children need a lightweight bike allowing natural control, excellent handling, reliable shiſting, and above all safe braking! We are well aware of how important the first experience of children is in shaping their future approach to a sport. In this respect cycling is no exception. For this reason we pay the same attention to the construction of children's bikes as we do to bicycles for adults.

88

JUNIOR & KIDS

NEW IN 2015 The Racer sport models are available in three wheel sizes (26"/24"/20") The Cross model RX 24 with lightweight rigid fork, narrow tires in girls' and boys' design New designs and colours More attractive and lightweight frames

RIDING SMART

WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

RIDING SMART solutions For the SUPERIOR bikes we use a range of smart solutions that increase riding pleasure. A general example - tires with low rolling resistance save power and allow a greater distance to be covered with less effort.

89

JUNIOR & KIDS

RIDING FUN Too heavy bikes are not easy for children to control and there is a risk of dangerous falls. We therefore design the SUPERIOR children's bikes with an emphasis on low weight, which guarantees easy and safe handling, as well as less effort. This means that children can really enjoy riding their bike.

RIDING SMART

MORE FUN AND COMFORT The sensitive fork enables every little racer to enjoy more fun and comfort on their bike. Due to extra soſt springs the suspension forks of the SUPERIOR children's bikes really work and are not only an unnecessary burden.

SELECTION OF JUNIOR & KIDS TECHNOLOGIES

€ 699

LIGHT RIGID FORK. The solid lightweight fork saves more than 1 kg compared with a suspension fork. This makes the bike easier to control and the child does not get tired as soon.

SUPER SOFT SPRING. Due to extra soſt springs the suspension forks of the SUPERIOR children's bikes really work and are not only an unnecessary burden. The sensitive fork enables every little racer to have more fun and comfort on their bike.

LINEAR PULL BRAKES. Reliable V-brakes require minimum braking power, making their operation easy even for very young children.

ADJUSTABLE BRAKE LEVER. Adjustable brake levers. All our children's bikes have adjustable brake levers which can be easily customized to the size of a child's hand.

READY TO ACCESORY. The Superior frames are ready for quick and easy mounting of accessories. You can equip your bike with mudguards, a carrier or a bike stand in seconds.

EASYRIDE ROLLING TYRES. Tyres with low rolling resistance save your energy and allow you to cover greater distances with less effort.

TEAM 26

VISIBILITY FOR SAFETY. Reflective elements. To be seen = to stay alive. Thanks to the tyres with reflective strips you will be seen in road traffic even when visibility is poor.

LARGE HEIGHT RANGE. Junior and children's bikes are designed with lower frame tubes, which not only facilitate mounting and dismounting, but also extend the height range for the use of the bike. Your children will be able to use the bike longer. This is a small detail, but it can be very important for the family budget.

90

JUNIOR & KIDS

KIDS OPTIMIZED GEOMETRY. Children's geometry is designed with regard to the ergonomics and body proportions of the youngest bikers. The result is the right length, height and seating position of our children's bikes.

KIDS SPECIFIC COMPONENTS. Components are designed with regard to children's ergonomics for easy operation and high security.

RIDING SMART

EASY HANDLING CONCEPT. Due to the wide handlebars and the oversize stems, you will have more stability on the bike and the bike will be easier and safer to ride.

RIDING SMART WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGIES 142x12 The 142x12 thru-axle is 35% stiffer than the classic open dropout. The result is the most efficient energy transfer from the pedals to forward motion and precise control. 15mm 15 mm thru-axle of the front wheel increases the torsional stiffness of the fork and ensures precise control and track keeping. 1x11. An uncompromising racing combination! A single chain ring and the absence of a derailleur and shiſting saves weight and eliminates the risk of chain blocking when shiſting in the toughest conditions. 2x10. The performance-oriented system provides a wide range of gears even for the steepest climbs. Compared to a traditional triple chain ring it saves weight. 2x11. The eleven-speed cassette increases the range of transmissions while maintaining a soſt and smooth gradation. Optimum transmission is thus available in every terrain. 3x8. Reliable shiſting system for everyday use with durability and minimum maintenance requirements in even the toughest conditions. 3x9. The sports-oriented system provides a wide range of gears and reliable operation with minimum maintenance requirements. ADJUSTABLE BRAKE LEVER. Adjustable brake levers. All our children's bikes have adjustable brake levers which can be easily customized to the size of a child's hand. AIR FORK. The air fork allows you to set the suspension exactly according to your weight and your preferred riding style. The air suspension is extremely sensitive and convenient. ADJUSTABLE STEM. The adjustable stem allows easy adjustment of the height of the handlebars in a wide range. It's a piece of cake to achieve the optimum riding position. ADWANCED WHEEL TECHNOLOGY. Due to the combination of two types of butted spokes, aluminium nipples and precise tension in the spoking our wheels achieve excellent rigidity, durability and minimum weight. PRESS FIT 30. The oversize bottom bracket Press Fit PF30 provides our frames with high lateral rigidity which ensures efficient energy transfer. COMPACT CRANKSET. Compact chain rings provide a greater range of gears. It enables you to overcome even the steepest climbs. CARBON FORK. Carbon fork offers high torsional stiffness and capacity to absorb vibrations while maintaining minimum weight. The result is precise bike control and high comfort even on poor-quality roads.

COMFORTABLE GRIPS. The ergonomically designed grips provide a high level of comfort as well as a firm and secure grip. COMFORT GEOMETRY. The basis of the comfortable geometry is a secure and stable control of the bike and an upright seating position that helps to prevent back and wrist pain. CARBON RACE. Superior stiffness, weight and durability are achieved thanks to the use of Mid-Modulus high-quality carbon fibres. CARBON RACE PRO. The result of using the finest Japanese HighModulus carbon fibres is a frame with a weight of less than 1 kg and uncompromising stiffness for the most efficient power transmission and precise control. DISC BRAKES. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure high and easily controlled braking performance in all conditions with minimum operating force. All this with minimum maintenance requirements.

SHADOW PLUS. The technology of blocking the arm of the rear derailleur keeps the chain tensioned even in the most difficult terrain. The result is a 100% sure drive, precise and quiet operation and minimum risk of chain breaking.

ISPEC. Joint mounting of brakes and shiſting onto one clamp does not only look great but also allows a wide range of settings, saves space on the handlebar and reduces weight.

SHIMANO QUALITY. The Shimano brand is a guarantee of high quality, durability and reliability of all components.

Di2 READY. The frame preparation for electronic shiſting allows an easy and quick additional installation of the Di-2 system with 100% inner cable routing for a clean appearance.

LINEAR PULL BRAKES. Reliable V-brakes require minimum braking power, making their operation easy even for very young children.

DIRECT MOUNT. The direct mounting of the front derailleur saves weight, facilitates installation and setup, and contributes to precise shiſting.

LIGHT RIGID FORK. The solid lightweight fork saves more than 1 kg compared with a suspension fork. This makes the bike easier to control and the child does not get tired as soon.

DIRECT MOUNT REAR DEARULER. The oversize bottom bracket Press Fit PF30 provides our frames with high lateral rigidity which ensures efficient energy transfer.

LIGHT WEIGHT. For children's bikes we put maximum emphasis on low weight, which is crucial for the easy and safe riding of the bike.

POWER TRANSFER POINT. Extremely stiff connection of tubes around the bottom bracket area provides uncompromising rigidity of the most stressed middle part of the frame. The frame does not twist even during intense pedalling and all the energy is perfectly transferred into forward movement.

ERGO FIT CONCEPT. To achieve perfect ergonomics we carefully choose the length of the handles, stem and handlebars depending on the bike size.

RACE GEOMETRY. The frame geometry is designed with regard to the most efficient power transmission and excellent manoeuvring on the most difficult trails and roads.

EASY HANDLING CONCEPT. Due to the wide handlebars and the oversize stems, you will have more stability on the bike and the bike will be easier and safer to ride.

REMOTE LOCK OUT. The Lockout control from the handlebar allows the fork operation to be locked in seconds without taking your hands off the handlebars. This means that you will always have 100% control over your bike.

EASYRIDE ROLING TYRES. Tyres with low rolling resistance save your energy and allow you to cover greater distances with less effort.

WORKBOOK JUNE/2015

INNER POST MOUNT. Installation of the rear brake calliper on robust chain stays eliminates unwanted vibration during heavy braking and allows easier and more flexible design of seat stays for better absorption of terrain irregularities.

KIDS SPECIFIC COMPONENTS. Components are designed with regard to children's ergonomics for easy operation and high security.

DOUBLE BUTTED. Double butting of frame tubes reduces the material where needed. This technology reduces the weight of the tubes and increases their rigidity.

RIDING SMART

SUPERIOR ADVANCED KINEMATICS. The sophisticated suspension system independent from pedalling and braking effectively eliminates terrain irregularities without loss of energy even during intense pedalling from the saddle. It also allows the suspension to be utilized in entire travel.

KIDS OPTIMIZED GEOMETRY. Children's geometry is designed with regard to the ergonomics and body proportions of the youngest bikers. The result is the right length, height and seating position of our children's bikes.

EASY STEPIN. Due to the bent upper tube getting on and off the bike is safe and easy in all situations.

118

INNER CABLE ROUTING. Cleaner appearance, smoother shiſting operation, longer life and lower weight. Inner cable routing protects shiſting against dirt and extends its life. The result is more precise shiſting with minimum maintenance requirements and clean bike design.

SPEED LOCK OUT. The Speed lockout allows easy and fast lock out of the suspension fork. On smooth and paved roads you will not have to waste energy on unwanted swinging. SUPER SHORT REAR STAY. Due to the bent seat tube the rear wheel moves closer to the centre of pedalling, thereby shortening the rear triangle. This significantly improves the manoeuvring of the bike and optimizes the transfer of energy from pedalling. SUPER SOFT SPRING. Due to extra soſt springs the suspension forks of the SUPERIOR children's bikes really work and are not only an unnecessary burden. The sensitive fork enables every little racer to have more fun and comfort on their bike. TUBELESS COMPATIBLE RIMS. Tubeless Compatible rims allow the mounting of tubeless tyres that improve adhesion and reduce rolling resistance and minimize the risk of defects. Another advantage against the standard tubes is significant weight saving. TAPERED HEAD TUBE. Conical head tube utilizes the lower bearing with a larger diameter, which increases the life of the headset and provides greater rigidity for more precise control, track keeping and efficient energy transfer. VISIBILITY FOR SAFETY. Reflective elements. To be seen = to stay alive. Thanks to the tyres with reflective strips you will be seen in road traffic even when visibility is poor. WOMAN SPECIFIC. The bikes of the MODO series are designed according to the specific needs of female bikers. The geometry, design, component structure - all this is strictly adapted to the female physique. ALU X6 ULTRALITE. The premium alloy Alu X6 Ultralite has a 35% higher stiffness at 10% weight saving against the standard alloy 6061.

READY TO ACCESORY. The Superior frames are ready for quick and easy mounting of accessories. You can equip your bike with mudguards, a carrier or a bike stand in seconds.
