Get up. Get out. Get involved.

There’s a lot to learn ... outside the classroom, too!  Join your fellow Eagles in one of 11 residence halls on campus. Walk to class in less than five minutes. Enjoy the wireless internet, refrigerator, and cable television hook-up provided in your res hall room. Wash and dry your gear in the laundry facilities. (No worries, you’ll get a text when it’s done.) Print your research paper in the computer lab. Repeat the next day. FYI: Living on campus is popular! Submit your $100 enrollment deposit as soon as possible after you are admitted in order to begin the housing application process.

 Step out of your residence hall. Join one of the over 170 different student organizations on campus. Take up a club or an intramural sport. Join a band or choir. You’ll find a lot to do!

You’ll have a lot of choices. Everyone needs a little direction sometimes.  Stop in the Academic Advising Center. Get help declaring a major, or changing your major if you find yourself on a different route. Research your career path (or learn about a new one). Find your dream graduate school.

 Get on the on-ramp to the real world. Visit Career Services. Receive individualized assistance identifying opportunities, writing a resume, and aceing the interview process. Review your graduate and professional school applications. Benefit from one of the largest centralized internship programs of all the UW System schools, which placed 900 students into internships last year.
