Coaching Concentration The coaching concentration is intended to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for students interested in coaching in a school, club or recreational setting. The coaching concentration does not fulfill the degree requirements for any major at USF. It is intended to enhance students' resumes and employability. Students can pursue the coaching concentration in combination with any major. Each state and sport organization establishes its own specific coaching endorsement criteria, which may differ from this program. Therefore, students should investigate individual state and organizational requirements.

Sports Medicine Concentration The sports medicine concentration is intended to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for students interested in athletic training, physical therapy, or medicine. The sports medicine concentration does not fulfill the degree requirements for any major at USF. It is intended to expose students to the acute injury environment as well as enhance students' resumes and employability. Students will gain experience identifying, treating, and rehabilitating injuries as well as assist with the daily operations of the training room. Students can pursue the sports medicine concentration in combination with any major. Candidates for a sports medicine concentration must complete both the content and practical components of the program.
