For the first time in eleven years of Atlantic 10 competition, a URI the Atlantic 10 tournament. It was not surprising to see that the women's volleyball team was the first one to do it with a tradition of consistant winning. The Wrams co-captains Lisa Leib and Atlantic 10 player of the year, Kengy Gardiner led the way to a 19-11 record and the second ever berth in the NCAA tournament. The Wrams coach, eleventh year Bob Schenk, had several other team won

key contributers; Nergis Agi, Stacia Allen, Amy Bruscia and Kim Reitman. All played a major part in the team effort that led URI.

Though the loss of A-10 player of the year, Gardiner and Lisa Lieb will hurt the team, there is plenty of talent that will make the Wrams a contender for an NCAA berth next year.
