Troy Riverfest 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 14 Riverfront Park in Troy. This festival encompasses everything an outdoor festival is supposed to be. The streets in the heart of downtown Troy shut down and are filled with music, art, performances, food and drink. This year organizers are striving to emphasize the art in Troy with live art demos, the annual sidewalk chalk drawing contest and more. Note: Performance times are subject to change. Troy Pig Out This Kansas City BBQ-sanctioned event is one of the most loved festivals in the Capital Region. Two days of competitors duke it out for best BBQ, music, fireworks and some of the area’s best food vendors. The event also benefits the Northeast Kidney Foundation.
