Five core themes of the USD Alumni Association Highlights in 2012-13 strategic plan are: The Alumni Association is proud of its accomplishments during 2012-13. Here are just 1. Employ targeted and segmented engagement strategies. 2. Promote an alumni-inclusive perspective: alumni relations is the work of the entire USD community. 3. Embrace a volunteer-driven organization model where volunteers are empowered to build and manage their own programs. Work with alumni to create engagement experiences. 4. Become more relevant in the lives of alumni through targeted communication and programs that resonate with alumni.

some of the highlights. • Hosted more than 120 events and programs across the United States and abroad, and engaged nearly 9,000 alumni, parents, students and friends of the university. • Supported more than 700 alumni volunteers, of which 52 percent contributed financially to support USD. • Stewarded nearly 10,000 student interactions with alumni. • Raised more than $56,000 at the annual Wine Classic and attracted a record attendance of more than 740 guests with the help of 50 alumni volunteers. • Supported a university-initiated task force dedicated to engaging alumni and building relationships. Those relationships will present new opportunities for alumni to be part of a larger USD community. • Reached a record number of alumni donors in collaboration with the annual giving office, with 3,904 alumni making a financial contribution to the university.
