Our Mentor & Namesake Few people get to work among legends, but many of us at University Hospital were fortunate enough to experience just that. For the more than 60 years Dr. W. G. Watson walked the halls at University Hospital, he was a giant of a man. He helped introduce incredible advancements in care, all while urging those he mentored to continue to focus on “service and kind words as the foundation with each patient and each other, every day. He was not shy to say that his priorities were first, God; second, his family and third, his work. We at University are dedicated to continuing his legacy of caring.
