Reading about something in a textbook is completely different than experiencing it in real life. Florence is beautiful, with so much fascinating history and some of the world’s most famous art and architecture, like Michelangelo’s statue of David and Brunelleschi’s dome on the Duomo. It’s thrilling to become absorbed in another culture. It’s also important to try new things; it helps you to become a well-rounded, cultured individual.
