Bridgman|Packer March 14 & 15, 2014 (8pm) UNCW Mainstage Theatre (Cultural Arts Building) Guggenheim Fellows in Choreography, Bridgman|Packer are acclaimed for their innovative integration of choreography and video technology that explodes the partnering form into a magically populated stage where image and reality collide. Hailed as “witty, sexy and surreal” by The New Yorker, Bridgman|Packer uses recorded and live feed video projections to create an evocative and theatrical experience unlike any other. Their performance features two works -- Under the Skin, which uses the dancers’ bodies and costumes as projection screens and Voyeur, a new work inspired by the paintings of Edward Hopper. Reserved Seating: $20 general public / $16 UNCW faculty & staff / $8 student & youth UNCW Students free with a valid ID This artist residency is presented by UNCW’s Office of Cultural Arts, in partnership with the departments of Theatre and Film Studies, the Dance Cooperative and Cucalorus Film Festival.
