2013 UMMC N ur sin g A n n ua l R ep ort

You & UMMC With the launch in 2012 of www.youandummc.org, UMMC Nursing takes a significant online step forward to welcome new team members and promote positive relationships among co-workers and colleagues. Under the direction of Lisa Rowen, DNSc, RN, FAAN, Senior Vice President for Nursing & Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, a small group of nurses and Clinical Practice & Professional Development staff developed the plan that led to the new website, which is filled with information useful to both new and existing staff. New nurses are welcomed to view the website when they receive their job offer. The site provides a range of resources, such as information about housing and roommates, city neighborhoods, UMMC culture and involvement, recreational activities, transportation, childcare, and much more. This reservoir of information is indispensable, especially to these new members of the UMMC team.
