SISTEMA DE CRÉDITOS • La ULPGC utiliza el sistema europeo de créditos (ECTS - European Credit Transfer System-). Consiste en la medida del trabajo (25 horas/crédito) realizado por el estudiante para cumplir los objetivos del programa de estudios oficial correspondiente. Incluye las horas de clases lectivas, teóricas o prácticas, las horas de estudio, las dedicadas a la realización de seminarios, trabajos, prácticas o proyectos, y las exigidas para la preparación y realización de los exámenes y pruebas de evaluación. Normalmente, 1 crédito ECTS supone 10 horas de docencia presencial.

Last Day of Instruction: May. Examination Dates: May-June LANGUAGE • Courses are taught mainly in Spanish. Some courses are also taught in English. • The University recommends exchange students to have at least a MCER B1 level of Spanish. CREDIT SYSTEM • ULPGC uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). ECTS-Credits are used to determine the relative workload of individual academic tasks. One ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of student work, which includes the following: lectures and practical classes, private study, participation in seminars, projects and practical work and preparation for and completion of examinations and assessment tests. Normally one credit also equates to 10 face-to-face teaching hours.

OUR OWN PROGRAMMES • Ongoing teaching certified by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to meet social and educational needs not included in the official list of university degrees. It is offered at all levels (undergraduate and postgraduate). SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES • In these programmes the University opens its doors to different types of people from those it has traditionally catered to and meets unsatisfied demand for teaching.
