• Matthew Mitchell led UK its school-record third consecutive and ninth overall NCAA Tournament. • The Wildcats’ No. 2 seed tied the highest ever in the NCAA Tournament. UK was also the No. 2 in 1982. • UK advanced to the Elite Eight for the second time in three years. • UK hit 12 threes vs. Gonzaga, the most ever by the Cats in an NCAA Tournament game. • UK grabbed a season-high 58 rebounds vs. McNeese State, the most for UK in the Big Dance. • Samarie Walker was named to the All-Regionial Tournament Team.

2010-11 Overall Record: 25-9 NCAA First & Second Rounds • Albuquerque, N.M. 1st • #17/16 Kentucky 66, Hampton 62 (OT) 2nd • #14 North Carolina 86, #17/16 Kentucky • Matthew Mitchell led the Wildcats to their eighth all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament and back-to-back appearances in the “Big Dance” for the first time since the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons. • UK received the No. 4 seed for the second straight season. • UK played its first overtime game in the NCAA Tournament, defeating Hampton in the first round, 66-62. Victoria Dunlap notched her ninth and final double-double of her career with 13 points and 12 rebounds. • Matthew Mitchell led the Wildcats to their seventh all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their first bid since 2006. • UK’s No. 4 seed was its highest seed since the 1983 season and its first No. 4 seed in NCAA Tournament history. • UK’s appearance in the Elite Eight was its first since the very first NCAA Tournament in 1982. • Victoria Dunlap was named to Kansas City All-Region Team after averaging 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in four games. She became the first UK player to be named to a regional all-tournament team in school history.
