However, such written authorization will not permit the use of game information in entertainment contexts and will not authorize game coverage that, due to immediacy or detail, constitutes or approaches a play-by-play account of a game. 3. Should any of these conditions be breached, the SEC and/or its member institutions will issue a written warning for the first violation. If this violation occurs during the last game of the institutions’ regularly-scheduled season, the media organization may not be credentialed for the SEC Tournament. A second violation of this policy will result in revocation of credentials to cover future basketball games hosted by the SEC and/or its member institutions.

Credential Requests

Requests for single games credentials should be made as far in advance as possible and no later than five (5) days prior to game day online at www.sportssystems. com/Kentucky. Jamie Holloway Office Coordinator 859.257.3838 jamie.holloway@uky.edu Interview Policies-General All interviews with University of Kentucky basketball players or staff members must be arranged through the Media Relations office. Media should never contact a player or coach directly. The Wildcat Coal Lodge, team locker rooms, and other team quarters are private team areas. Media members are not permitted in these

areas unless accompanied by appropriate University personnel. Practice/Press Conferences UK basketball practices will be open to a select number of media members each session. No cell phones are allowed in the practice facility. Player interviews are conducted prior to practices the day before a game and will be available to all UK media on the Joe Craft Center practice court. Coach John Calipari will meet with members of the media immediately following player interviews in the lower level lobby of the Joe Craft Center. Media will be allowed to shoot video and still photography for five minutes at the start of practice with permission. After the five-minute mark all media must clear the practice floor and approved media members will be escorted to the viewing deck for the conclusion of practice. All player interview and practice access requests are due by 10:00 am ET on the day of each practice session. Gameday shoot-arounds are closed to the media. Telephone Player Interviews Request telephone interviews at least 24 hours in advance through the Media Relations office. Telephone requests will be scheduled when players’ schedules allow. Radio Call-In Shows/Internet Chats As specified by the Southeastern Conference, no players will be allowed to participate in live radio shows or on live chat sessions on the Internet other than school owned broadcasts.

Postgame Interviews Following each game, there is a 20-minute cooling-off period, during which time the players shower and dress. Approximately 10 minutes after the game ends, Coach Calipari conducts his postgame press conference while a player is taken to the UK IMG Sports Network. Following Coach Calipari’s press conference and the cooling-off period, selected UK players are brought to the media interview room. UK’s locker room will be open for post-game interviews on a game-by-game basis. UKathletics.com The official Web site for University of Kentucky Athletics is updated 24 hours before each game with the latest game notes and quotes from Coach John Calipari and selected players. Following each game, the site will post a game box score with summary, postgame quotes and notes from all home games and updated season statistics.
